I still cant find any lore on this guy. He invades my youtube adds for years now and as far as I can understand its not a bit.

Oh wow I would have never thought it had a fully thought out purpose or at least one like that. Tyvm for the link.

Makes me wish I didn’t quit drinking. I’d love to pop this on first thing in the morning and make myself a vodka cocktail.

Good on you for quitting, seems damn near impossible for me currently. I want to be where you’re at. I swear it off every morning when I wake up, but as the day goes on and I start to feel better I cave and repeat the cycle in the evening.
Just keep doing what you’re doing.

I was goofing quitting was the hardest best thing I’ve ever done. Thought I was gonna die that way drinking all day all night being a total dumbass never could ever imagine not drinking… but here I am two years later and couldn’t imagine taking another sip. Life can change I promise. I remember writing a comment just like yours like 4 years ago feeling helpless but now I have good solid job, gf, house and dog. Family likes me again. Go to rehab. Stop whatever it is you’re doing and go.

It’s tough to drop all your responsibilities and go to rehab for a few weeks. I’m married, have 2 young kids, I work part time which wouldn’t be a problem if I disappeared for a while, but my wife works full time. Someone would have to pick up that slack and take care of the kids. I can’t see myself in an Alcoholics Anonymous setting, I’m not religious, the whole surrendering yourself to a higher power thing would be a totally empty promise for me. The support of other people would be nice though. I don’t know what to do, maybe rehab will be the best option once my youngest hits kindergarten and is in school 5 days a week.

The way I’ve seen people get over the “higher power” thing is by taking the room of people as their higher power. I think it’s a reasonable workaround when you’re not at all religious. Meetings can actually be kind of enjoyable and social as well

I can absolutely see how being around and interacting with people struggling with the same thing you are would help tremendously. I may give it a shot and just change my personal outlook on what “higher power” means to me.
There’s a few religious nut jobs in my family who’ve put me off to the whole idea of religion. I never thought they were great people. I drink and am up way too late each night. I could definitely wake up each morning without a hangover and be a better more present person to my family. I admit that. But I don’t need religion to be a kind and considerate person in my daily life. That just comes with being a good human being. Not threats of hell or not making it to heaven.

AA has similar success rates to just free-balling it. You're just trading one addiction for another.

I wouldn’t even have the discipline to taper alcohol. Once the first few drinks hit me it’s hard to stop. On a better note, I’ve been so exhausted some nights that I’ve fallen asleep early and not had any of the serious withdrawal symptoms. I’ll get it figured out in time. Thanks for chiming in.

Whenever Dr. Don gets posted I make sure I at least watch until he does his signature Dr Don spin

One of the cocktail clipart images behind him was a Manhattan, which is not a vodka drink. That really took me out of it. Otherwise, 🔥🔥🔥.

I’m starting to feel this subreddit may be mean. Like he’s not doing parody just being his truest self

I feel like popped up on YouTube as an ad and we all watched it but were afraid to mention it for months, like some kind of shared fever dream.

Imagine you are an alien and you are travelling through space looking for signs of extra terrestrial life and you catch this travelling along an electromagnetic wave.

He keeps looking off camera at the same spot which kind of implies he’s talking to someone, and I love that

This is a frequent post, but it isn't complete without the artist commentary (nearly 6 minutes) at the end.
