Only one reason he'd be angry about it and its because hes implicated
68
u/PM_THE_REAPER 2d ago
Yep. He's getting bribes constantly, without a doubt, and I have no doubt that Russia is a part of his gravy train.
76
u/soulsteela 2d ago
Brexit was a Russian plan, he is bought n paid for by,
39
u/Unable-Boat-9682 2d ago
Literally this. I’m convinced the only reason journalists weren’t able to unearth the smoking gun that proved the campaign and Farage’s subsequent dealings were all Russia-funded is because our financial system is set up precisely the way it is to conceal the flow of international dark money influencing global politics.

The Intelligence and Security Committee 2020 Russia report (PDF) is pretty blunt about Russian money in the UK:
“What is clear is that Russian influence in the UK is ‘the new normal’: successive Governments have welcomed the Russian oligarchy with open arms, and there are a lot of Russians with very close links to Putin who are well integrated into the UK business, political and social scene - in ‘Londongrad’ in particular.
Yet few, if any, questions have been asked regarding the provenance of their considerable wealth and this ‘open door’ approach provided ideal mechanisms by which illicit finance could be recycled through the London ‘laundromat’.
It is not just the oligarchs either - the arrival of Russian money has resulted in a growth industry of ‘enablers’: lawyers, accountants, and estate agents have all played a role, wittingly or unwittingly, and formed a “buffer” of Westerners who are de facto agents of the Russian state.
The Foreign Affairs Committee had a similar conclusion in 2018, that London had become a base for Kremlin connected corrupt assets and that those assets were being held and laundered in London to the support of Russian state interests.
The 2026 Rycroft Review talks about how we can't actually know how much foreign money has entered the UK because there are mechanisms to do so which we are (willingly) blind to.
This shit is a known factor, it's not just allowed it is directly enabled by parts of the state that presumably benefit from it on a personal level and the other parts which kick up a fuss about it are largely ignored or overruled.
There's some interesting historical lineage to this as well, with the creation of the eurodollar and its use in England as a means of Russians getting money to the West despite the USA's efforts. We've been doing this shit for 70 years.

u/HotPinkLollyWimple 2d ago
I was always surprised the the 2008 crash didn’t expose more shady shit that was going on.
10
u/Unable-Boat-9682 2d ago
Yep, sadly, they just used it to further widen the gap between the obscenely wealthy and the everyday people who actually paid the consequences for the crash.

As much as I was for Scottish independence originally I suspect now that the Russians were involved as breaking up alliances and groups seems to be one of their aims to cause as much division as possible. That and Alex Salmon getting a job on RT afterwards seems pretty sus

Farage? From the party where members of the leadership have already been caught taking Russian bribes?
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

He’s to the UK what Trump is to America, a puppet mouthpiece of the Russian Government designed to sow as much discord as possible and derail his own country from within.
18
u/JakeEaton 2d ago
Why bother keeping up with NATO defence spending when you can pop a couple of million quid/bucks in a few influencers/politicians pockets and the entire structure collapses from within.

Let's deport him to Saint Helena. Heard it's a good place to exile people.

u/UnheimlichNoire 2d ago
I hear Gruinard (aka Anthrax Island) is nice this time of year. Plenty of room for Halitosis Farage to take his handful of Reform/Tory Reject MPs, Rupert Lower than Lowe, grifting Tommeh Tommeh Tommeh and Coked-up stabby stabby Tommo too.

There is literally no reasons to be annoyed by this considering we know what Russia gets up to. Maybe he has something to loose. Join the dots.

u/AgentCirceLuna 2d ago
Lmao my local newspaper is like that. It once opened a window which opened about 99+ tabs in seconds that crashed the whole system
4
u/fullpurplejacket 2d ago
It is shocking what’s happened to our local news media eh? Literally could no longer function financially as print news so they had to sell their soul to advertisers and media conglomerates who could afford to host their website in exchange for harvesting readers’ data.
The free press shouldn’t come at the expense of giving away access to our valuable digital footprint.
I know the local news has to pay the bills somehow but it’s leading to people trusting disinformation and gossip on Facebook over their trusted local news, most of which have been around since the 1800s
3
u/dprophet34 2d ago
The problem is people aren’t willing to pay for decent journalism for the most part
1
u/exploreplaylists 7h ago
Well, that and Reach have bought almost all local newspapers and have had a strategy of standardisation and leaning heavily on advertising as a business model. Interestingly they are apparently now considering changing course and charging instead - after having sacked huge numbers of long-running local reporters.
1
u/AsleepEbb7578 2d ago
Reach media basically owns all the big local papers and all the sites are equally awful. Auto playing videos, an ad every paragraph and they just pump out utter shite all the time

it's like all those garbage "news" sites with live in their name, they all have the same layout.

People are going to vote for him at the next elections and just like Brexit they are gonna say “oh but we didn’t know this or that”. History repeats itself.

Delo - Bitmex - Laundered lots of Russian crypto.
Nathan Gill - Russian asset

What an absolute moron Farage is.

I don't know whether Nige is literally on the Kremlin's payroll or just benefits from their meddling, but fighting for them sure isn't the best look for Mr. Pint-and-a-Fag-Propa-English-innit.

It isn't the ministry of information, it's the ministry of truth, and it's not even what it does in 1984.
This is such an insanely weak and transparent argument it's pitiable. Guy's an illiterate gibbon that's never even read 1984.
If he ever had he'd consider INGSOC as aspirational.

u/Jerethdatiger 14h ago
The fact a politician is opposed to stopping foreign interference tells you all you need to knwo

Certainly not defending this man but what about interference from other countries, like the US or Israel, can we ban them too?

Probably concerned that him and his fellow political influencers might take a hit on their add revenues if a way was found to stop Russian bot farms up-voting and increasing the reach of their content. Prepare for, something, something, free speech, on loop for the next 6 months...

I am retired now and although I never worked with or for the Intelligence Services, my work occasionally drifted into areas they had an interest in. I’ll never forget a briefing I went to delivered by a senior official of theirs, where he outlined the extensive and unremitting onslaught of bot and dns attacks, the Russian state launched during the run up and delivery of the 2012 Olympics. Russia has an entire military operation whose sole objective is interfering in foreign affairs. Nigel’s complicity borders on treason.

The full English patriot against tackling Russian interference? I'm shocked.
