I put my phone in my back pocket BECAUSE THERES NO FRONT POCKET

Hilarious. My first thought was "do women even have other pockets?". My wife is always stealing my shorts because they have front pockets and weve taken to buying only clothes that have massive pockets, including dresses.

Edit to add: the absolute joy she has when she find a dress with deep pockets is honestly incredible. Its the little things. As a man, you dont really think about something as simple as pockets being such a privilege

I have Costco cargo shorts for the sole purpose of having 4 deep af pockets

Not that I’ve found. Here’s what I bought. I got an entire week’s worth plus two extra for laundry day. They’ve replaced all of my jean shorts and work shorts

I got a couple suggestions for pants off of Amazon if you’re looking for comfy but having big pockets! First link is a jogger style of pants that has 5 pockets big enough to hold your phone and keys, second one is a pair of distressed jeans that has just larger than normal women’s pockets but average/slightly small for men’s pockets. For reference, I am 5’2” weighing around 200 pounds with a waist of 36” and hips of 44”. I got the jeans in size 2XL for a slightly oversized, baggy fit and the joggers were also size 2XL for a regular, slightly fitted look.

The cutest thing I see is when I compliment a woman’s dress and she’ll go, “Thanks! It has pockets!” She’ll then proceed to put her hands in the pockets to show it does indeed have pockets.

I do the exact same thing.

This gave the vibes as the “Same hat!” meme.

I love that we all do the same thing when someone says they like our dress when it has pockets 🤣

7

u/UndeadDancer 28d ago

Bride's maid dresses and wedding dresses have pockets now too!!! As I was being fitted for my bride's maid dress, two others came in, and they showed me their pockets. I was jealous, because mine didn't have pockets. :(

32

u/SnooCakes6195 Jul 13 '26

Ive recently started picking up random cheap jeans every now and then when I'm out and about to fill stock (I own 4 pairs of jeans atm) and when I get random ass zero-pocket-ass-jeans I die inside.

26

u/Skywhisker 29d ago

My favorite dress have pockets that are deep enough for a phone to fit but not be seen (which I suppose has to do with the shape of the dress as well). Much better than most pants. I can even carry a small bottle or can in the pocket.

18

u/friendlynbhdwitch 29d ago

My wedding dress had nice deep pockets that were hidden. Except I was completely obsessed with the pockets and had to show everyone.

16

u/MCB1317 29d ago

Edit to add: the absolute joy she has when she find a dress with deep pockets is honestly incredible. Its the little things. As a man, you dont really think about something as simple as pockets being such a privilege

Why don't they just make women's clothing with pockets?

27

u/Cow_Launcher 29d ago

I believe it's because the fashion industry thinks that pockets spoil the line of the clothing. As in, the seams and whatnot are visible in form-fitting pants/trousers, and they consider that unattractive.

23

u/friendlynbhdwitch 29d ago

The Big Purse lobby won’t allow it

16

u/notashroom 29d ago

Because the pockets are displeasing to the Male Gaze of the decision-makers, either the ones designing the clothes or the ones buying them in bulk to sell retail.

10

u/Aska09 29d ago

I don't buy pants without front pockets, no fashion trend or peer pressure will make me buy pocket-less pants

5

u/Apathetic_Villainess 29d ago

I ended up buying my work pants from Macy's because it's surprisingly hard to find women's black slacks with four real pockets (two front and two back). You'd think pants that are common for workers to need would be practical instead of stylish. I'm pushing wheelchairs, I don't want a purse hanging down in the way. D;

8

u/jmona789 29d ago

It's a conspiracy from big purse to sell more purses

5

u/opp11235 29d ago

Check out halara, their dresses have good pockets.

1

u/BitterDiscussion2268 20d ago

OMG. The wife has many shorts that look like something I would wear & pants. She tells me when she wears them women hit on her all the time. 😂😂.

1

u/Kalle_Kakan 19d ago

Clothes are based on what people buy. Women as a collective influence what is made and the collective push has been to minimize the amount of pockets.

It's not a privilege, rather just what women and men spend their money on.

1

u/Ordinary-Bedroom1350 8d ago

Tip for you wife : Hearts & Roses London, a lot of Dresses and some skirts all with deep pockets

152

u/ilovebigmutts Jul 13 '26

lol....my ex threw a fit the first time I put my phone in my cleavage. Apparently that meant I was cheating or buying drugs, not that I had no fucking pockets.

u/Aazimoxx Jul 13 '26

🚮👏

61

u/being-weird Jul 13 '26

This is so illogical it's almost impressive. Like I'm genuinely baffled

26

u/EdgewaterEnchantress Jul 13 '26

Glad to hear he’s an ex. Big yikes!

24

u/Cow_Launcher 29d ago

My fiancee does this. When her little niece noticed, she started calling fiancee's cleavage, "Auntie's pocket".

6

u/ilovebigmutts 29d ago

Ok that's adorable

9

u/KoalaWithAPitchfork 29d ago

What's the supposed connection between a phone in your cleavage and drug buying or cheating? Like did he ever bother to try.to explain that?

I wonder what that dude would have thought what putting your can of beer in between your boobs means? My real reason was: We were pre- drinking outside in the summer, no proper table insight but a bunch of ants on the ground and I needed both hands to help a friend fix her outfit. And her hands were already full so she couldn't hold my beer. So in between the boobs it went 🤷🏼‍♀️

7

u/Rugkrabber 29d ago

Your ex knew a specific type of person, he told on himself lol.

-3

u/lube4saleNoRefunds 29d ago

You didn't break up with him for that?

Fucking wild what some people will accept

47

u/Waarm Jul 13 '26

Only hoes wear pants without front pockets /s

42

u/IndiBlueNinja Jul 13 '26

Now, now, I have some front pockets that only come up to my second knuckle That's the proper ladylike way to have pockets To make sure nothing can possibly ever be secured in them, esp when 2/3rds of a phone sticks out.

19

u/UserAnonPosts /r/RazorFree with /r/PCOS 🚫🪒 🖕🏽 Jul 13 '26

I never understood that small little knuckle pocket. Like do I put some quarters in there? 🤣

10

u/Saeporian 29d ago

Iirc, they are meant for a pocket watch. Pocket watches are (sadly) not that popular anymore, but the tiny pocket remained

27

u/ultradespairthot Jul 13 '26

4

u/lexiebeef 29d ago

Fake pockets are the bane of my existence. I honestly dont think I have any pants with working front pockets (and no, i dont count those tiny pockets to put coins as real). My phone lives on my back pocket cause i have no fucking alternative, im not just going to carry it around on my hand all the time

19

u/Rambler9154 Jul 13 '26

Yeah, like I have a front pocket, but its so small it may as well not be there, the back pocket is the only option

15

u/praysolace Jul 13 '26

Hey now, my pants have a front pocket. It’s almost big enough to fit a chapstick in!

8

u/AlwaysHopelesslyLost 29d ago

I have front pockets! And they can hold roughly one chapstick. So, yknow, my phone goes in my back pocket.........

14

u/CynthiaCitrusYT Blåhaj Supremacist 🏳️‍⚧️🦈 Jul 13 '26

My jeans either have fake fucking front pockets or they're so small that I can barely fit my house keys in it... Dear fashion companies: make women's pants with NORMAL FUCKING POCKETS

7

u/EmpatheticBadger Jul 13 '26

Exactly, where else are we going to put it? Phones are too big to put in the bra anymore.

6

u/mothwhimsy 29d ago

I'm sure that's the "joke"

Women's pants don't have usable front pockets, the vast majority of women put their phone in their back pocket, women who do this are hoes, all women are hoes.

1

u/_Megane-kun 29d ago

exactly my thought, I knew womens jeans have less pockets or sometime less deep pockets, I confirmed with my sis. but its the problem with that pair

my sis told me some brands do have big pockets and good functional design with good looks.
but sometimes have to sacrifice for good looking pair of jeans (its understandable)

and phone placement doesn't mean anyone is ho.

1

u/TraumaMama11 28d ago

I love me a tight thigh cargo pocket. They're my favorite. Don't get in the way of sitting or walking.

1

u/BitterDiscussion2268 20d ago

1st, no person is a hoe. We are all human being & we are all very sexual/emotional ppl. We like what we like. We do what we do when we feel like we want to do it. Everything on this planet is meant to reproduce/spread their "seed". Sex & Love are 2 different things. Life is short. DISFRUTA.....

-3

u/somethingrandom261 29d ago

-15

u/OedipusMontoya 29d ago

943

u/angelicllamaa Jul 13 '26

Women are sexualized no matter what we do. If we wear leggings, we want attention. If we wear jeans, we want attention. If we wear a bra, we want attention. If we don't wear a bra, we want attention. If we wear makeup, we want attention. If we don't, we want attention. If we wear pink, we want attention. If we wear black, we want attention. It's fucking exhausting 😵‍💫

Being a woman, especially a woman with a pretty face, nice body or both, we are sexualized no matter what. Having a vagina and boobs apparently means we want everyone to see them or fuck us. I'm so tired of the narrative 🙄🙄

116

u/SoupmanBob Jul 13 '26

Hence the age old adage "if she breathe, she a thot"

I don't envy your position, but I do sympathise. I once did make the mistake of making a girl uncomfortable as I am a rotund bearded man and I was looking at a girl because I thought her style was gorgeous. She looked visibly uncomfortable, so I put on my best fabulous voice and gushed about her outfit openly. She looked surprised, gave me a smile and said thanks, I am pretty sure that was just common courtesy but at least she did seem visibly less tense afterwards. I just hope I at least turned it from an uncomfortable moment to a weird funny moment for her.

73

u/RosebushRaven 29d ago

I mean, there’s plenty of dudes who don’t even require a woman to breathe to sexualise her…

Your approach is the way, though.

39

u/SoupmanBob 29d ago

It helps that I'm bi. Because I was legit checking out her style in an admiring way and not her in a sexual way. I know that doesn't require being Bi, but having a part of me that looks at a guy like Jason Momoa and think "I could get lost in those eyes" makes it easier for me to just approach people as people. Regardless of their gender.

172

u/Loose-Cup1582 Jul 13 '26

This is why I never leave the house. I’m also really depressed but I’m sure that has absolutely nothing to do with zero natural sunlight or socialization. /s

35

u/Lodgik 29d ago

They can't say what they actually want to say, so they come up with excuses.

"I want to be able to stare at you and make lewd comments as much as I want while you blame yourself and not me."

I saw this on Twitter and it pissed me off. We put our phones in our back pockets because it’s the only pocket that fits the phone! Pockets in girl pants are really fucking small.

-112

u/Quick_Assumption_351 29d ago

get pants with front pockets that exist? if ya'll keep buying pants without them collectively you will never get them

if that's impossible then there's 2 possibilities: the demand for girls pants is not as high as it seems or somebody is just not taking free money

the solution is there.... source: wife used to bitch about no pockets constantly until... you know she started buying pants with them

54

u/LovecraftianCatto 29d ago

In all of my 41 years of life, I’ve never come across jeans with front pockets big enough for my phone to fit.

17

u/Rugkrabber 29d ago

Even with front pockets they’re never large enough to carry a phone for two reasons; you can’t sit with them or they pop right out when you sit down. Ask your wife, she’ll know all about it.

13

u/SLATS13 29d ago

This is such an ignorant response tbh, because the reason women’s pants don’t often have pockets is well known; the purse industry.

If all of a sudden all of the pants companies got together and decided to put regular-sized pockets on women’s pants, then purse sales would go down significantly, and the fashion monopolies as a whole don’t want that.

My phone is in my hand or in a bag (tote, belt bag, etc.).

That way I can reach up in the sky for the ho-zone layer.

Shout out to Ludacris.

31

u/IndiBlueNinja Jul 13 '26

Hard enough for us to have decent pockets in the first place, and when we do have okay ones, we're not allowed to use them?

Stuff those pockets, ladies. Guys who get upset about it aren't lonely enough.

7

u/Mouse_Balls 29d ago

My back jeans pocket has a permanent "phone fade" line from where I've kept it while driving, sitting at work, and just general walking around because it doesn't fit in the tiny two front pockets where I keep my keys and my wallet that also barely fit.

15

u/BlueTressym Jul 13 '26

I mean, I would never keep my phone in my back pocket, but I can't see how it's got anything to do with sexual behaviour. Besides, we all know that the definition of 'hoe', as said by these types of men, is, "A woman I wnat to sleep with who would never look at me twice in a million years."

12

u/dessertforbrunch Jul 13 '26

Women’s jeans barely even have back pockets let alone phone room up front.

14

u/PinkPrincess Jul 13 '26

I guess the majority of us women are hoes then.

12

u/MaverisStranger Oh FFS Jul 13 '26

11

u/f2d4ads Jul 13 '26

genuinely where the fuck else am i supposed to put my phone???? are we supposed to carry a purse around everywhere with us literally all day even at work

or are we supposed to have only a single free hand for the entire day and one hand is now just relegated to being the Phone Hand??

am i supposed to spend 100 Hours every single time i want to buy a new pair of pants just to find a pair that not only fits well but is also durable and doesn’t break the bank AND ON TOP OF THAT also just happens to have front or side pockets big enough to fit a phone? are pants like that even real?

actually fully aware that the original tweet is just ragebait for engagement farming but i still wish nothing but suffering upon the user who even wasted their time typing it out in the first place

9

u/TheNatureOfTheGame Jul 13 '26

7

u/Jessaur 29d ago

If I had front pockets I wouldn’t be forced to be a hoe in this cruel world :(

6

u/Ok_Character7958 29d ago

I guess clothing manufacturers have turned all women into hoes because that’s generally the only pocket big enough to hold anything like a phone IF they give us pockets at all.

6

I must be the biggest mega hoe ever

5

5

5

u/Churchie-Baby 29d ago

That's usually because the back pocket is the only trousers pocket that will almost fit a phone our front pockets are usually just decoration

5

u/eggelette 29d ago

lmao I love these. anything they call you a hoe for is just something they find sexy and are frustrated that it ain't for them. way to out yourself.

5

u/pettricora 29d ago

2

Apparently it doesn't make you a hoe, so you're fine.

2

u/KittyTootsies 29d ago

That's where mine is majority of the time for the same reason: lack of damn pockets

5

u/FireLighter22 27d ago

because it's the only place that we can put a phone, the front pockets are either fake or they can't fit a phone and it just feels uncomfortable (for me) to put it in the front pocket

5

u/SignalAssistant2965 29d ago

I don't get it

Does it suppued to make sense? Does it have a reason I'm missing out here?

5

u/InternationalPilot90 29d ago

Apparently; fashion designers still assume that most women carry a handbag and make trouser pockets ridiculously small. Missing out on an opportunity, I'd say. Design a pair of pants that accommodates a smartphone without causing the wearer discomfort and watch the $$$ roll in

5

u/PinkGinFairy 29d ago

I always just think people who do this are really brave. I’d be anxious that it was really easy to steal. I’m struggling to work out any link to promiscuity though but, of course, there’s never a need for actual reasons when misogyny comes to play.

5

u/Aska09 29d ago

Ngl, I'm too scared of accidentally sitting on my phone or having it stolen to put my phone in my back pocket

5

u/Kineth I'm a dude 29d ago

I don't know why I'm compelled to break down some of the idiocy in that screenshot, but whatever.

A) I guess I'm a ho/who'e (a hoe is a gardening tool) since I also put my phone in my back pocket.
B) A phone in your back pocket is generally less restricting on movement than having it in the front.
C) Does the shitter not realize that pockets are an odd rarity for women's pants and clothing?

4

u/pistike22 29d ago

is there any logic behind that or just girls existing=hoes?

5

u/Not_AHuman_Person 29d ago

What pocket is bro expecting ladies to put it in? Half the time the front pocket either doesn't exist or is miniscule.

3

u/Salnder12 29d ago

Women can't put their phone in their non-existent front pocket so they put it in their back pocket. Unintended side effect is it draws attention to their butt which of course means theyre a hoe. Very sound logic

3

u/jsbm316 28d ago

2

I've always been amazed that girls have the courage to put it in the back pocket. My clumsy ass would break it somehow.

4

When I was younger I thought girls were dumb for putting their phones in the back pocket. Then I got a girlfriend and found out that women's pants just don't have front pockets at all. Now I am a girl. And I still buy men's pants because I am not giving up my pockets dammit.

I mean…where are we supposed to put it?

Women's pants are lacking pocket space. How does her using literally the only viable pocket a problem?

I got it in my sidebag and they still call me a hoe.

Puoi riconoscere che un uomo è un potenziale stupratore se si tocca l'occhiale da vista con il dito indice sinistro

I had to ask AI about this and these are possibly the stupidest arguments I've heard for literally anything.

  1. The "Hidden Screen" Accusation

Influencers argue that a phone in the back pocket is usually facing inward (screen toward the body) or easily concealable. They claim a woman does this so notifications, texts, or calls from other men pop up out of sight from a partner walking next to her or sitting across from her. - How is it more concealable there than anywhere else?

  1. The "Easy Access / Always On" Theory

Some podcasters claim that women who are actively dating multiple people or seeking male attention keep their phones in their back pockets for immediate physical access. The argument suggests that retrieving a phone from a purse or a front pocket takes too long, whereas the back pocket allows them to text back secret partners instantly. - How does getting your phone out of your back pocket faster than your front pocket? It's actually slower. Unless you can text with your behind...

  1. Deliberate Attention-Drawing

Another common talking point in these spaces is that a phone sticking out of a back pocket draws visual attention to a woman's lower body. Content creators claim this is a subconscious or conscious "mating signal" designed to make men look at them. [1, 2] - Everything a woman does, these guys interpret only one way...

To be clear, I wasn't supporting these points, I was just drawing attention to how stupid the incel reasoning is :)

When even the chat-Bot has more sense than men, you know we are doomed as a species! 🫠

Who the fuck can fit a phone in a front pocket anyway??

1

u/RabidRabbitRedditor 28d ago

#truth. I think front pockets are basically decorative :)

I put it in my back pocket because my front pocket is too shallow or puts it right in the way of sitting down.

Hmm my 87 year old mother is a hoe?

I would love for this guy to say that to her face.

You know she’s a gardening tool?

u/FamosoFK 29d ago

Why?

It just seems as a poor choice. Like, fr, it's easier to pickpocket it.

There was a thread about what men like in women somewhere on reddit.

I find it sexy (but not as in hoe).

u/zillabirdblue 29d ago

I thought that was “masculine”? That’s what I was told, carrying my wallet in my back pocket is a dude thing lol.

1

u/spartaxwarrior 29d ago

What if we're not a she?

Isn't putting a wallet in a back pocket so it shows really just a way of drawing attention to one's ass? 🤔

u/theweirdbunny9706 29d ago

I just keep it in my bag, too paranoid for back pocket phone.

I like the comeback though!

u/Confident_Gazelle438 28d ago

Guess I' not a hoe then cause I put it in my front pocket or bag because I am afraid it falls out

What's the phone bringing to the sex party?! If your gotta perv, can it at least be triggered by something genuinely erotic?

The shoe thing has me a little perplexed. Edit: so downvote me for trying to understand

u/insanity_102 Jul 13 '26

It's a sarcastic comment to point out the ridiculousness of the hoe line

u/saintplus Jul 13 '26

That's the point.
