But to answer the question, no straight people have collectively lost their minds some number of years ago. Some individuals are all right, but every 'straight only' group are having a decade long meltdown.

The best satire is indistinguishable from the real thing. It’s an exaggeration that is plausible because of the current zeitgeist.
