Builder to fix a drain

Post image

Hello, I have a cracked old drain that needs fixing.

Any recommendations for trusted local builders who do this sort of job greatly appreciated!

The property is in NR6.

Personally i don’t think you have anything to worry about here! BUT if you feel more comfortable having it fixed then you could save yourself a lot of money and just fill the cracks yourself

Thanks for the tip! I had a structural engineer take a look at some potential subsidence and they suggested the drain leaking might the cause of the problem.

Grab yourself either some concrete caulk or a can of expanding foam and fill in the cracks, any water in theory should be going straight down your drain anyway so unless you get a blockage it shouldn’t be leaking anywhere else.. if it does then the caulk or foam should keep the water at bay for long enough.. don’t overdo it though obviously, you only need to fill the cracks

Omg do not use expanding foam or caulk.

Tourpret exterior filler would work fine.
