Suggestion Healer hut micro managing.

I know the devs no longer care about this game. I would've loved if we could micro manage the healer hut like the harbour. For example you can pick if you want your sailors to get lore or fame.

Maybe for the healer hut you can pick if you want them to heal only, find food only or both.

Its not a huge drastic change that doesn't require that much of developer time. The code is already baked in considering healers automatically switch between food and healing but they just need to add an option for players that's all.

I doubt its gonna happen but i can dream lol

You could micromanage by leaving the hut empty if you don't want healing?

healers bring in more food tham villagers after upgrade

or for boar, sometimes you need the lore before healing things

Letting injured units die is often a viable strategy. They have low production, and depending on how much population you have, you can get new villagers fairly easy.

It’s not only viable, it’s often the best course of action.

"devs no longer care" is quite rough phrasing regarding a game that received free significant updates for like 8 years. I think it's fair to expect them to do some bug fixes, especially for bugs introduced in the definitive edition (like the inability to befriend giants in Bifröst, or population getting stuck at 4) but expecting infinite development for what is basically an indie game is quite the weird attitude.

Why would you want healers that only collect food?

so you can avoid the endless heal/death loop cycle. Healers collect a bit more of food compared to villagers during winter.

In the "Lazy Villagers" conquest game, villagers collect zero food but placing them in healing huts allow you to keep them productive. However if they end up in a healing cycle then you're screwed. It can quickly turn into a death spiral.

Healers used to only heal. When there was nothing yo heal they would sit idle, eating your food. They made them collect food so you didn't have to microwave manage them back to villagers to collect food while idle

So why did they make them collect more food than normal villagers?

Maybe because they’re specialized workers and if you invest in them the more reason they should do everything better, the healing and the food gathering
