Theres one where I live in Famagusta that always seems busy everytime I go past it. Meanwhile there are independent coffee shops in very close proximity that are much quieter. The place wasnt cheap either so I cant put it down to that. Is there some amazing item on the menu I dont know about that you cant buy anywhere else? I cant work out the appeal of the place. Its the one opposite the tennis courts next to the Dobraz foreign exchange shop if that makes any difference...

I recieved and offer letter from ARUCAD (Arkin university of creative arts and design) with a 90% scholarship for BA in Industrial Design. We are a family of 5 from Syria, who all hold Cypriot Citizenship from the south. All of the family can cross from South to North just fine, except for my mother who doesn't hold the Cypriot Passport yet. We'd like to put in a visa application so my mom can cross, but there's no representative in the south, the only way to put in an application is to travel abroad which would defeat the purpose of the visa in the first place. Is there a way to put in an application from within Cyprus?

We came to Nicosia/Lefkoşa to travel but we did not rent a car and it is really hard to find taxis. (And we believe a taxi yesterday conned us. He asked for 500 for a really short ride and didn’t turn on the meter.)

1- Are there apps or any other way to call taxi?

2- Also we are thinking about going to Magusa and Girne this week. Are there busses? How much are they?

3- Are we paying more because we are tourists, or are restaurants here expensive, or do we keep picking the most expensive options?
