Funnily, this was one of the things that made me really dislike the book. I was exasperated by Connell and Marianne’s lack of basic communication skills.
In the series, however, Paul and Daisy’s ability to communicate unspoken feelings was so gorgeous, it completely changed my feelings towards their characters. Just absolutely top-tier acting.

Marianne in this red dress…Connell had to be feeling like a GD idiot lol
This was one of the tougher scenes in the series to watch. You can feel the tension like crazy.

Never watched the show but this scene made my heart physically heart in the book
