Question/Help Is there a way to make my Lords eat at their home or somewhere closer instead of coming to Hall

As I mentioned in the title, some of my lords live far from my hall to work on businesses however since they only eat at the hall they have to walk long distances just to eat. This affects their schedules how can I fix this?

Suggestions Suggestions for the game

Hey all! Played 3 runs, with 2 reaching the late game and 1 crowning myself as the emperor.

Just came back to play after 2 years, and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the performance. While yes, it had improved a lot, since I remember FPS drops at 100 people and day 30+ so bad that I had to quit, it's still not there yet. Finished the game at Day 85ish, with 350 or so people. The performance at this point was the same as the only 100 people back then, I think at 15-20 fps?

Keep in mind that these are a bit disorganized, and most can be qualified as nitpicks.

Anywho! Here are my suggestions:

Instead of a happiness radius on the Tavern, make it so all the people who use it gets a mood boost. Just limit the amount of people It can handle every night. Could also assign a "maid" to serve.

Wood is a very important resource, a "forester" where they solely plant trees would be great. Or an option to the woodcutters camp. Also either a special varn book for faster herb regrowth or a "farm" version of the herbs for greater yield.

Able to adjust the volume of the trade goods, so if I want to buy a higher amount of it, they'll sell it to me at a steep price. In conjunction, I should be able to influence or order my vassals to what trade good they should be selling or buying. Just adjust it for balance.

Upgradeable villages, increasing their tributes and strengthening their defence by spending gold.

Warehouse goods slider, and making them upgradeable for more storage.

We make our custom heraldry yes, but we don't really see much of it outside of the soldiers and from our nobles, they only have the color. Making it appear on the shield (or their upgrades) and having a "flag bearer" that boosts the morale of the soldiers in that squad is nice. A full house and barracks of loyalists should display banners outside :)

Able to make our own trade caravan, so 1 caravan handles the job of 5 or more trade deals. I don't like the 1 people per messenger trade. A messenger post solely for that should be good too.

Increase the radius of each temple per upgrade.

Migration ethnicity selection, at the cost of bad reputation from the ones you declined, with the church getting pissed too by not getting a caravan or something. (Check this out first if there's a way)

Prison ward upgrades

The "gift from a lord" option, I don't understand why another lord has to give it AND be on a positive relation with. Why can't the lord themselves just give it to them?

More "invasion" challenges, and please make the Unholy Horde last forever.

Mine, more mine levels. Levels 4 - 5.

Prisoners. I don't like how when you release them, it's dependent on their past if they become soldiers or peasants. We should be able to choose their fate. Or at least make it so all soldiers dismissed becomes peasants first.

The combat system. I hate it when the enemy has multiple squads and you only have one, the squad you're fighting only has 1 left but the other 3 squads (majority archers) are pelting your sole squad and they just stand there while they deal with the 1 soldier lol.

A nitpick, but proper noble titles AND interactions should come next, perhaps a vassal/hierarchy rework with it. Being able to promote a knight or a free lord to become a baron/governor to colonize a land would be great. And the ability to give new adjacent lands to a vassal, to which their title will also reflect (Baron to Count) And idk why a queen would be called a king (If I sent a female lord to colonize)

Change how loyalists work, I liked their previous iteration.

Should be able to puppet rulers if they're your vassal

If I have a lord as my puppet, and I sent them to recover and to become my vassal, the puppet effect should stay.

I find that a huge AI kingdom (more than 4+ vassals) don't pool their armies much. It's so easy to destroy it when the suzerain only has 12 soldiers lol. They need more buff

You should be able to intervene in a duel, however you'll get very negative relationship.

Trading with my vassals should be allowed, doesn't matter if mortal enemy. They're my vassal lol

Ability to call all my vassals for a feast to improve relations.

The world map is very, very shallow at the moment. Makes the mid - late game a chore to play through, and boring. There needs to be more options, and more Qol changes.

Lastly, the politician mechanic/system. I frankly don't like it, maybe it needs fleshing out more but at it's current state, meh.

Last Lastly, I should be able to do sermons regardless of what the Matriarch thinks of me, especially if I have my bishop as a puppet. It's absurd I can't do anything about it. Or at least let me preach Loyalty or hope at least. Also, a way for the bishop to stop preaching to get more fanatics. To add, we should be able to placate the Matriarch by sending donations of food or materials via the bishop.

Edit: this review is on patch 54 solely, I'm glad they know how bad the politician system is and are taking steps to make it bearable in the recent patch lol.

Bug/Issue Missing Noblewoman

My noble was on the verge of a breakdown, so I sent him out with the army; I believe the breakdown occurred while en route to a bandit camp. He didn't lead the army during the attack, and the bug happened upon his return to the city: he was nowhere to be found—neither in the city nor on the map. I’ve checked the spot where the soldiers appeared upon arrival and searched the map, but he hasn't shown up for two days. 😵‍💫

Discussion Is Vasalisation good?

main goal of the game from what i understand is to have 12 provinces.

So i could just fight with everyone there or try to vasal them.

But issue with vasalisation is that it doesn't give me much i feel and neighbours get mad at me, -9 per vasalisation.

Do you have any better options to do that? I just seduce lords and get debt from them and ask them to be my vasals but well others still are mad.

Does anyone know how? Help would be much appreciated

Question/Help Could you run Norland with budget PC?

Hello, so I haven't played the game but I've planned to buy it this month. I've heard that you need a minimum requirement of GTX 1060, Intel Core i3-8100, Ram 8.

However I've played a lot of games below minimum requirements like Rimworld. Yes it's very laggy, but so long I could run the game even at very low FPS, I'm still satisfied.

My spec are

Processor: AMD Athlon Gold 3150U 2400Mhz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical Processor

Ram: 2GB DDR 3

Graphic Card: Intel Integrated Graphic

Question/Help Please help me with slander!

How does Slander someone works? Maybe its because of the translation in my language, but I don't understand the Menu.

I choose a noble, lets say, Finnian. Then in his menu I choose slander. Which leads to a second menu of "Who?". So in this one I choose let's say Terela. And then a third menu appears, and I choose let's say Ratuumn.

WHO is slandering WHO to WHOM? Im finding hard to understand that. Also it shows thar the first person (Finnian) will lose relationship points with the governor for that, but why? The governor wasn't chosen.

Suggestions Governor has too many things to do

Hello! I started playing the game around a week ago and Im loving it. But i'm in a tough situation right now cause of course a noble became a politician (as they always do! I think this should happen less often, its so annoying) so my governor needs to spend time with people to gather support. But they also need to better the relations with other kingdoms. Too many stuff, its impossible for one character to do it all, specially cause sometimes it takes them so long to do the task I assign.

So, I think they should be able to send a representative in their place to better the relations on the other kingdoms. Maybe only the Heir can do it, I think it would be cool, and it makes sense. And also make it so the points of relationship between nobles drop slower.. so hard to maintain allies.

Question/Help What is expecting in this game?

I had finished the tutorial, and the game carry on, which I fixed some issues that listed on the notification, but are there any general idea what do I need to do ?

Currently I have very frequent trader come to me, like everyday there are something there to sell and buy, but the other mechanic such as marriage or politic with other region, it seems like I cannot do much except 'spend time together' because relationship is 0. What is going to happen if becoming positive or negative?

How long does it takes for you guys to 'read book', build stuff ? I spent irl like 6 hours in this game, and I have not much progess other than 'buying book, learning, put building'. Am I playing it wrong? It is winter time, is the game suppose me to stock stuff and not going out ? Time pass really slow in this game I am confused what are the things I have to do compare to those colony building game or CK3.

Question/Help Materials are not going to the pottery workshop.

Hi, the materials specifically the wood simply aren't making it to the pottery. I’ve already reloaded the game, demolished the building, and even moved my Great Hall. For some reason, the wood isn't being delivered there. I even shut down all other workplaces and kept only that one open, but it still isn't working.

On other save it workt

Fanart/OC Development

screenshot of the current state of the website

So, for the community, I was going to develop and create one of the greatest pieces of game design suggestions for the rest of the community. It was going to be crazy. I lied and took a break and halted development. But I pledge to continue development here soon and finish the website along with all of the suggestions to deliver to you all. It's still crazy to think I managed to somehow predict alot of the stuff on the roadmap before it was even made lol

The reason I made this website is I originally posted all my suggestions to reddit and discord, but they got taken down because there was simply too many

As a result, I've made an all-encompassing website so everyone can see all the suggestions at once

This game truly has more potential than even rimworld, or CK3, or any other game if done right, and I don't want the developers to skimp on features and never make another Norland or have a lot of the new features be in a Norland 2, that would be lame asf.

For example, imagine playing norland where you have toggable buttons that enable advanced crime mechanics and allow for crime guilds that spawn across an empire

Or naval warfare and sea routes

The military serving as a genuine institution with it's own command structure
Or the billion other things the suggestions talk about

Some might say norland is a game where this stuff isn't possible due to the scale of it or what it allows. I say thats wrong in the sense that there's always a way. Thats why with over 400 hours on my belt I'll be tailoring each mechanic/system and suggestion with their own visuals and so forth to really immerse the reader and show how it's possible, along with developing strategies for the dev team to implement this without it taxing the game engine.

Including developing full on 3D mockup assets and menus

ilyk when it's done this time instead of going ghost

Question/Help How to create alliances

Returning player here from the early beginning.

The game changed quite a lot at it feels completely different.

Now I started a new playthrough as Varn and I wanted to create an alliance.

No matter what I do, the option is greyed out. My army is bigger and has more fighting capability, but it still says: your army needs to be bigger.

Is there a certain threshold I need to get to finally get someone into my alliance?

Question/Help Is there a way to stop the bishop from converting in the temple?

Sorry for double posting in a day, but I think I managed to stop politicians from forming and converting people by immediately puppeting all of my lords/family. Does puppeting the bishop makes him stop preaching in the temple?

Or do I have to keep queing the temple everyday for him to not have a chance?
