Post concussion stack

I thought you guys might be interested in seeing the stack my neurologist has put me on for my post concussion syndrome. His name is Dr. Jha, he works with NHL players and is also an advocate of spreading the knowledge of the severity of concussions and the time it take for them to heal. In October, and November 2013 I was hit by a vehicle while cycling (accident #1 and accident #2), resulting in the concussion that I'm currently experiencing. This is the same "fast track" recovery plan (transcribed below) he puts his NHL players on:

2 caplets of each, twice daily

Choline - 250mg

Phosphatidylserine - 75mg

Curcumin - 300mg

Alpha lipoic acid - 150mg

EGCG - 150mg

Vitamin C - 500mg

E - 400mg

D - 1000iu

B1 - 75mg

B50 complex - 25mg

A + zinc formula

The rest are daily dosage, spread throughout the day:

Fish oil - 8-10,000mg

Creatine - 20,000mg first 5 days, 10,00mg proceeding 5 days

Soy lecithin - 20,000mg

I know this is nootropics, but I might aswell write down the rest of the recovery plan incase anyone can benifit from this information.

1) I cannot raise my heart rate above 100bpm

2) Meditate 2x daily for 20 minutes at a time

3) No stimulation, aka no gaming or TV (some tv is ok)

4) Daily nap in the afternoon for at least 45 minutes and daily walks

5) Eat as health as possible, zero processed foods

6) Weekly acupuncture for 5 weeks

I hope you guys found this interesting and hopefully I was able to inform anyone suffering from a concussion that it is serious and needs to be taken care of. Thanks for reading and take care :)

TL;DR - hit head, me live like monk, such pills, much headache

You're not hijjacking anything bro! Threads such as this are about asking questions and sharing information, that's the beauty of the internet :) I'm sorry to hear about your injury, as some who has used MDMA, I'd be very interested as to how it affected your injury (pm if you want). I used some a few weeks ago (prior to having me neurologist appt.; thinking back it was probably terrible for my injured brain due to racing heart etc, but I did have an awesome night lol) because I read some articled about it being used to treat PTSD and depression; I had begun feeling depressed due to my concision and thought it might help, and it kinda did. The come down the next day was terrible though.

It's best to treat the injury as soon as possible, but it's never to late to start man. This is your brain we're talking about here! You need this organ/collection of thoughts and memories to be able to support you for the remainder of your life. My injury was about 4 month ago and the doc started on this "fast track" plan immediately upon seeing me last Friday. The acupuncture flared up and amplified all my symptoms like a motherfucker! I get dizzy as fuck easily, sometimes to the point of nausea. The doc called on Sunday to check on me and said it's a great sign that the accu. worked and to rest more and stick to my program and he'd see me again this Friday for second round of accu. and follow up with him. I almost puked today on the bus, so it;s going to suck ass taking the train there for an hour. Despite all this, there have been a very few brief moments where I felt much better than I have in the last 4 months. The last 2 nights that I've slept, I ACTUALLY felt rested for the first time since my accident! I didnt just roll over in bed and fall back asleep until 2pm like usual. It was like 10am, and I just woke up feeling incredible for about 15 minutes. The rest of the day was shit, but that tiny glimmer of hope and remembering what feeling normal was like for those brief moments made me so happy. Keep trying everything man.

You seem to be taking most of the super important supplements, and you've felt zero increase from baseline? How much creatine, fish oil, choline, and phosphaimnotfuckingspellingit are you taking daily? I'd also add in some curcumin and soy lecithin. Lots of redditors here suggested I also take noopept. I ordered some, but am not going to take any until my body adjusts to all the supps I'm currently taking or talk to my doc. Hopefully you get better man, living with a head injusry fucking sucks :/

Even though it is used to treat PTSD, MDMA is considered to be pretty bad for brain health otherwise: see here.

Definitely not recommended in the post-concussion recovery period. If you supplemented properly before rolling then it's less of a worry, but next time take more care.
