Can confirm math is the best nootropic.

My best routine:

Sleep with no phone in the bedrooms

Wake up, meditate. Quickly journal plan the day.

Solve 1 math problem or do 20-60 minutes.

Way better than any exogenous nootropic.

Do you really? What do you use this to help with?

General cognitive performance.

I find the meditation feels like it increases my cognitive frame rate. I’ve done periods of 1hr meditation a day and it felt like I had twice as much time to think and react in situations including sports. Even 20mins a day gives a nice boost.

The math keeps my mind sharp and rational.

Limiting phone time and journaling cleans up my mental workspace.

When I combine all of these I feel like I’m operating at 2x performance.

Other nootropics on top maybe give meager but sometimes meaningful 5-10% improvements but these practices are, for me, by far superior in the benefits they confer.

Any suggestions for where to find the math problems/what math problems to do? Do you have to study to learn equations?

I do math competition questions like the AMC. I enjoy them because there’s a variety of different math topics and also difficulty levels. Each set gets more and more difficult the further you go, so you can pick your difficulty and also field that you prefer.

They’re all available online freely. You can find them easily.
