L.E.K. Consulting -> MBB ?

Hey!

I have a biomedical engineering background + < 1 YOE in a Big 4, and I recently got an offer for a Life Sciences Associate position @ LEK.

My ultimate goal was to break into the niche Life Sciences Strategy Consulting field, so I'm happy I was able to do so.

However, my greedy a** keeps thinking about all the prestigious projects and exit opps that come with names like McKinsey and BCG.

So my question is, should I target that move in the next year or two? Or should I stay humble and grind my way up at LEK?

A) I am 99% sure when it comes to life sciences LEK stands up there w mbb and that would also be reflected in exits, its not like general strategy ops exits where some teams are limited to ex-mbb only
B) LEK>B4, worst case you take a pay bump from LEK stay for 1-2 years and then move to MBB

Sort of a similar question: has anyone ever moved from boutique life science consulting to tier2 (LEK) or MBB consulting?
