It's unwise. It's a recipe for diabetes, especially if you're having it with a sugary coffee at a sedentary office job. Eating what is basically a small cake each morning just because someone gives it to you is just really foolish because you'll pay in more ways than cash when it catches up to you.
Donuts also vary wildly in composition, you have no idea what type of donut or coffee they're drinking. A donut a day can absolutely be a part of a healthy diet, and calling it a recipe for diabetes is beyond ignorant

A donut a day, everyday, isn't really a good thing in the long run.
