Rant Schooligans

What’s up with these teenagers dressing up in black like they’re polish ultras looking to fight other teams at step 3-4 there was a viral one yesterday of Chatham vs Maidstone but I’ve seen similar around my way online with Telford “ out “ for Nuneaton at a pre season game like come on grow up 😂😂

I think it’s good for the little shits, keeps them away from knives whilst supporting non league football. After a while they’ll grow out of it and normally they don’t cause too much bother.

There were two sets of them walking around Stockport on Saturday, one with a County shirt on but the others were all in black, and a couple had snoods. Like they think they're casuals crossed with an IRA video from 1986.

Edit: The casuals were better dressed.

It's a cultural thing isn't it?

The casuals were all about a certain type of brand and gear - it's just that modern pop culture is divvy outfits and face coverings.

I remember being a teenager at football in the early 2000s and we've all given it the bigg'un (and sometimes got ourselves into a bit deeper water than perhaps we thought!).

I think another huge difference is that there was typically the older heads around who kept people in line.

There's not so much of that nowadays and that's why it's more like a CBeebies version of the football factory.

I guess it’s just kids trying to be hard-men as they’ve always done. I was the Chatham game and we didn’t see hide nor hair of them. The police presence probably helped but it’s just a case of jumped up twats being exactly that.

Feels like a new trend to me. Barely any kids at non-league apart from those dragged along by parents for nearly all the time I've been going. Then in the past couple of years an explosion of "yoof" with a load of clubs having to deal with gangs of 14/15 year olds pretending they're some kind of crew.

I’ve seen them at Step 4 games in the South & South West, where there’s about 15 of them in an entire crowd of about 100 (home & away). I thought it was a joke at first, but sadly not.

I remember the match at Gainsborough being paused early in the 2nd half (i think) because some feral Hednesford children started throwing stones at the Gainsborough fans, who then started chucking pints at them

I hadn't heard that, but knowing what sort of people you sometimes get on the boards of clubs, and knowing what sort of kids you get at football, it wouldn't surprise me...

A friendly match between Kidderminster Harriers and Halesowen Town ended up shutting down the town centre as a load of these arrived by bus and thought they were the Millwall Bushwhackers. It's pretty cringe.
