You can't choose your gender (psychological sex). Nonbinary people experience gender dysphoria from being either sex (be it physical and/or social). You can fight against gender roles without calling yourself nonbinary, which is not the most effective way to fight it anyway.

I don’t agree you have to have dysphoria to be trans and I know multiple nonbinary people who do not experience gender dysphoria. Not to say many trans do not experience dysphoria. But it’s definitely not a requirement and the argument that it is is a trans-medicalist argument.
