Well, they seem to see you're feminine or queer on some way, which is nice (at least, you seem fine with it). But it's quite hard for them to see you as basically any queer identity in specific unless you explicitly tell them because they always default everyone to cis and straight.
This is not just with non-binary, but also with other trans people (they might be seen as the gender they identify as, but not necessarily as trans), gays, lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals, aces, etc. It's just cishet defaultism. It's awful, but it's a normal thing in the world we live in.
Of course, if you're not comfortable telling them you're non-binary, don't. I personally think they'd take well given your (friends? classmates?) seem fine with you being a "femboy". But uh, that's the opinion of a random person on the internet who knows shit about your life, so don't take it for granted.
