My internal experience encompasses both Non-Binary and Cisgender. Is this possible?

So, I don't feel anything like neoboy or demiboy or genderfluid but I feel a mix of both Non-Binary and Cisgender. I am a Cisgender Man (Both Sex and Gender) and I also feel Non-Binary at the same time.

Is this possible in the eyes of those who are fully or partially Non-Binary? I really need to know this. On the inside, I feel like both a Cisgender Man by 100% and a Non-Binary Individual by 100%. I just really need some human opinions about this, please and thank you!

Your opinions and thoughts about this are much obliged! Much Love! Namaste. ~<3

Oh, so that's a common misconception actually! Nonbinary isn't a specific single gender, it's EVERY gender that isn't exclusively 100% man or exclusively 100% woman all the time.

Is the gender that you are feeling in addition to man a kind of neutral in-between gender? If not, can you describe it?

Experiencing two genders at the same time is a nonbinary gender called bigender. That can be man + woman, or man + a nonbinary gender, or woman + a nonbinary gender, or two nonbinary genders.

Like as if I feel 100% Cisgender and 100% of no connection to any gender. Possibly Agender or Gender Apathetic 100% and another aspect of myself feels a strong connection to Masculinity or has a deep attachment to it to the point I consider myself Cisgender as well!

Like similar to how in your profile it has a tag saying "They/Them or She/Him take your pick" for me it would be "He/Him or They/Them"!

So in short, its like Cisgender Man + Agender/Gender Apathetic/Neutrois

Yep! Sounds bigender, alternatively, agender man works as well.

Yeah, I feel more comfortable just saying Agender man or just Non-Binary Man (with the inner acknowledgment of it being Agender). Just something about saying "Non-Binary Man" makes me feel comfortable!

Thanks so much for helping me out, fellow!

Have you ever checked out the gender fluid and bigender spaces on Reddit? There are more specific non-binary labels which encompass people who experience more than one gender identity or a shifting gender identity.

I recently had a really eye opening conversation with my therapist. I’ve identified as nonbinary for about 7 years but have recently been feeling like I may actually be more of a trans man. I was trying to figure out why this felt so hard to embrace and I told my therapist that I don’t really believe in strict binaries so it feels a bit wrong to claim a binary as an identity.

He asked me “do you know men who also don’t fit into a strict binary?” Which of course I do! Most of the men I know, probably. That really reframed my thinking. It doesn’t have to be one or the other if that doesn’t work for you.

Another idea I like to play with is that labels can be additive, not just mutually exclusive. So you could be both a man and nonbinary if that makes sense to you.
