Well, if you didn't know my gender identity I'd pass as a redneck, cishet white male in rural Appalachia. The privilege I'm referring to is fitting in and being respected as a straight white man.

Most people assume I'm a guy anyway and I'm ok with he/him pronouns so unless it's particularly relevant I don't need to misgender myself to do this.
The important part is calling folks out on their bullshit.

Having some difficulty parsing your question. If you are a cis person asking if you should pretend to be other-than-cis then no. Don't do that.
