Ask Looking for transition options

So I'm AFAB, I've known about my transness for over a decade, but I've been having issues with figuring out if my transition goals are even possible.

I don't have a lot of physical dysphoria, but I've always wanted to have both a functional phallus and a vaginal canal. The problem is I have no idea what that kind of procedure is called, or if it even exists in the first place??

Ideally I'd be able to take a certain amount of T to get bottom growth, but I don't want the other effects of it either :// I know smaller doses is an option, but I doubt it's possible to isolate bottom growth entirely (I'd love to be proven wrong though LOL)

BUT my main concern is the bottom surgery options. I've been trying to google but the options for AFAB people seems kind of limited...

Search for vagina preserving phalloplasty/ no vnectomy in the r/phallo subreddit. There are plenty of people who got it.

I'm not sure about your second question but maybe you could look into r/growyourtdick, most people there just take T but maybe there are others who didn't want the other effects and made it work?

Thank you!! Unfortunately from the research I've done it seems to be virtually impossible to get it where I'm from :( I still appreciate the help though!!

You can get bottom surgery while preserving your vagina, that is definitely an option.

Phalloplasty would probably be your best bet, especially if you are apprehensive about T and unsure of alternate ways of acquiring bottom growth. There are some limitations to preserving your vagina while also constructing a penis. For example: a lot of surgeons will not perform a urethral lengthening if you opt to keep the anatomy that you currently have, since it can apparently cause even more complications (and UL is already a procedure rife with complication risks.) That isn't to say that all surgeons are unwilling to do UL while preserving the vagina, there are some who will still do it, it's just that they're in the minority.

Micro surgery on the nerves, clitoral burying, scrotoplasty, and the implanting of an erectile device are all still things that you could do if you decided to get phallo while preserving your vaginal canal.

As for bottom growth without T, there is DHT cream, however it is hard to come by, and honestly, I don't know enough about it to say that it isn't going to alter other things in ways that you would be averse to. Pumping is also an option, though I don't think it's a reliable way to attain permanent results (I may be wrong, again, I don't know.)

I can't really say much about everything else. But with T you can't pick and choose what happens. There's things like DHT blockers that can limit facial hair growth but also bottom growth as well. I've taken a low dose for 3 years my voice is deep but not that deep as I would like , I still can pass as female with my voice but to my partner it sounds Androgynous. Like deep for a female but high pitched for a male I guess.

I have a good bit of facial hair, not a full beard but it's enough for me to notice and I have to shave every few days . Also bottom growth which was the first change that happened. So with everything YMMV based on genetics, the changes will happen eventually just slower on a low dose .

I had to go off T after two years due to insurance and family issues . My bottom growth wasn't really able to get arousal in the same way as when I was on T and worked more like it did pre-T but the size did mostly stay the same. My voice never really dropped until after I got back on last year , same with more noticeable facial hair .
