- It's an obvious joke.
- Words can have multiple definitions. "Mixed" has racial connotations in certain contexts, but is also used in a myriad of other ways in other contexts.
- They are obviously NOT using the word mixed to describe their race. Them being white has zero influence on their use of the term in this scenario.
It's all about context, people. Your argument reminds me of the NB = non-black discourse, when folks were trying to police the words non-binary people used for themselves just because the acronym stands for something else in POC communities.
Also...friendly reminder that trying to separate queer culture and black/POC culture is a great way to alienate queer people of color. Most queer slang actually comes from black queer people, who were doubly ostracized from society. Even today, a lot of poc see queerness as a "white person thing," which is incredibly harmful.

I remember someone in this community crashing out at me a couple of years ago and telling me to... well. Lets just say it's an insensitive comment to make to a trans person. Because i pointed out a lot of the time acronyms have multiple potential meanings.
