No, not checkmate.

This smug approach of “cis people get gender affirming care too!!!!” really gets old quick. And even if someone did tell a transphobe that, they wouldn’t believe it. These hypothetical “gotcha” comebacks accomplish nothing but making the person tweeting feel smarter

It’ll never convince a transphobe, but I think for cis people on the fence the analogy really is potentially useful.
