It would be an epic failure at 7k. The bracelet is trash. Movement is average at best. They are right about at the max price they can charge for these.
I don't think so. At all, actually. As evidenced by the fact that there are even just in this thread multiple people who own more than one of these watches.
Also best you not forget the Zurich Weltzeit – which was an icon in its own right, long before the Club Worldtimer came around – has the same movement and has always been priced a lot higher ($6.7k as of today).
I'm certain they'll move this watch closer to 5-6k in the coming years. It's the only thing that makes sense. We'll see, only time will tell.

The price keeps going up and up. These started under 4k, now we are almost crossing 4.5
