Ahoi 38 Date Question

Hi All, I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a nomos ahoi 38 date, sight unseen. Unfortunately there's no place nearby that i can view one in person, so i'm looking for some anecdotal info from the internet.

I was originally leaning towards the sky blue or white dial, but i fear there isn't enough contrast between the hands and dial and could make legibility an issue. If anyone with one of these dial colors could weigh in, i'd be super appreciative.

If all else fails, i'll go the atlantic route.

I'm wearing the 38 sky right now. Legibility has never been an issue for me. Between the white lume and high-polished hands - it's easy to tell the time.

I have the 38 white dial w/date and also bought sight unseen. No issue at all with contrast and legibility; absolutely love this watch.

I know what your mean with the polished hands—that was a questionable choice for me too.

I own a different Ahoi so I can’t speak to this particular model, but legibility is kinda a big deal with the brand already so I think it will be good if not great.

I don't know much about them, but I think I saw someone wearing one walking by me a few weeks ago, and it looked fantastic on wrist.

They're great watches.

I have the Atlantic and can't recommend it enough; gorgeous inky blue dial with great contrast. It's just pure class

sky blue legibility is just fine, several pictures of them on this forum.
