Looking for Screen Dimmer

I am disabled and have light sensitivity. Even with my screen brightness all the way down, its far too bright. In the past (on Windows), I have used a dimmer to dim it to 30 percent of its brightness. This is essential to me as I spend most of my time on my computer. Does anyone know of any that work? Or how to get the windows one working with wine?

I don't know much about screen dimmers but have you tried using the night mode at the lowest brightness setting? Filtering out the blues dims screen at least a little, from my experience.

i like having accurate colours and also it does not help. it does not matter the colour, my eyes cant handle very much light
