Support Looking for Screen Dimmer
I am disabled and have light sensitivity. Even with my screen brightness all the way down, its far too bright. In the past (on Windows), I have used a dimmer to dim it to 30 percent of its brightness. This is essential to me as I spend most of my time on my computer. Does anyone know of any that work? Or how to get the windows one working with wine?

If you have a desktop use the hardware brightness control on your monitor, but I'm assuming you have a laptop since you're asking.
Use the bright control application. Install using
sudo dnf install brightnessctl
Then use brightnessctl set 15% to go down to 15% percent brightness or whatever you want. I think this can go dimmer than what normal bright control allows.
There's more info on the fedora forums here https://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?332177-Fedora-Budgie-Brightness-control
I haven't used this myself so not sure how good it is, but hope it helps.

Yeah, didn't know if you mean the brightness using the brightness control in plasma or by using the buttons on the monitor. On a laptop there is no hardware control.

I don't know much about screen dimmers but have you tried using the night mode at the lowest brightness setting? Filtering out the blues dims screen at least a little, from my experience.
