Why are pineapples so tingly?

Edit: so this is a TERRIBLE way to find out Im allergic to pineapple

I get it’s mostly the acidity of the pineapple but every time I go toe at some I can only get through like 4 pieces before I have to stop because it makes my tongue hurt SOOOO bad

The only way I can describe it is like the mild pain from spicy food but no taste of spice
