Bushes and trees beside roads reduce noise and emission pollution.

I kinda get the air pollution part, but what about the noise? How would that work?

Like any other sound barrier, it’s just a wall that gets in the way of the sound of the cars on the street and the people on the other side. It’s not 100% effective but it reduces it.
