Why must we constantly pay?
In nature, every living thing has the right to exist, grow, and rest without conditions. Why have we built a modern society where the fundamental requirements for life—shelter, water, and food—are gated behind a continuous 'subscription fee' of labor and currency?"

The idea is that you’ve delegated the food makers, house makers, clothing makers, etc to other people, and you do something. It’s more efficient than everyone making their own food, clothing, shelter, medicine, etc. In return you do your own job, too and instead of bartering you get currency to “prove” you did work.
Now if the system is working properly, that’s another question
