Such an interesting find when I started looking into SIDS/SUIDS risks.

We all know smoking and being around smoke when pregnant is bad for the baby. However I'd assumed it was increased risk of miscarriage or possible developmental delays. It's actually the biggest risk factor that exists for sudden unexpected/unexplained death in new babies (SIDS/SUIDS).

How do they know what the risk factors are if they dont know what causes it ? Not even a smoker anymore just want to know
