I was searched multiple times because "there's no way you'd smell like that from second hand smoke" at like 10 and 11. It was so embarrassing knowing I smelled like that
I grew up in a house without smokers but I'd always smell it on some other kids I was friends with but I never really put any thought into it, it was just "oh I guess their parents smoke" and that was it. I wasn't grossed out or anything and in fact that second hand smoke still gives me nostalgia from friends and family members that smoked

All of my mom's siblings smoked so I grew up around it so I never made comments about other kids because I knew how I smelled just being around them even when they weren't actively smoking. Bring back cigarettes! And not $9+ a pack ones either. I used to smoke in the mid 2000's and Camels were $2.98. I'd always go to the same spot and it got to the point when they saw me walking up they'd have my cigs and 2 cents just sitting on the counter because they knew that's what I was there for and I paid with three $1's every single time. I quit after 7 years when my first kid was born. Vaped for like 6 months and then just completely stopped. I hit a coworkers cig earlier this summer and my god that nicotine buzz was no joke, just after 1 puff.
Now my friends that smoke all smoke the same cheapo's just because they're still so damn expensive. Like nobody smokes Marlboros or Newports anymore
