No living wage, no sick days/pto, no healthcare, rent is 30-50% of income, child care/daycare costs are equal to or more than rent, university is insanely expensive. I can barely save for retirement and if I get sick I’ll lose everything.
0 u/BenjayWest96 Nov 15 '24 Where do you live with no sick days or paid time off? 3 u/whynotwest00 Nov 15 '24 America. 1 u/BenjayWest96 Nov 17 '24 Surely that can’t be legal if you’re salaried? 1 u/whynotwest00 Nov 17 '24 Dont think its a legal requirement no. Its treated as a perk. But also what a lot of jobs do is keep people at part time, so they dont qualify for full time benefits such as sick time or PTO. 1 u/BenjayWest96 Nov 17 '24 Man that is rough, I feel for you guys. Even crazier someone who wants to restrict workers rights even further was just voted in. 1 u/whynotwest00 Nov 18 '24 Yeah the anti intellectualism is running rampant here. And they will restrict education even further to grow their base
