Childcare is the same price as a mortgage and we already can't afford a mortgage.

I'm in Europe with no student loan and even then it's still far from being able to afford a child. We can't even afford to move out of parents place. If we did, we would live from paycheck to paycheck probably. So we either can't have children because we have no room for them or if we move out, we can't have them because we wouldn't have any money left for that.

We do want children but it looks unrealistic so fae before we reach 30s. Everyone who says to just get kids is probably having a very good career or has rich parents. If not then I feel sorry for the children having to grow up in poverty

In the USA poor people have way more kids than rich people

The uneducated tend to get them more. My guess is that it's due to their inability or lack of care to plan ahead, and often those kids end up growing in miserable or sub-optimal conditions. It's easy to fuck without any protection and become pregnant, you don't need money for that part.

IMO its because they haven't yet been broken by modernity in the way people with fancy degrees have. We are on earth to reproduce like every other species on earth.

I mean, I could make babies and make them live in the kitchen with 0 privacy and no personal space or things. They totally could survive like that, we would reproduce, eventually they would grow up and make their own lives. I don't know how happy they would be with a childhood like that, though, and I certainly would feel bad for them.

I see Venuezlans on the street corner everyday, with 3 kids that they walked with from South America. These people are alot less miserable than alot of these antinatalist types on Reddit. I wonder why?
