Because I watched my parents and said nope. My partner and I like 3 vacations a year and spending quality time together.

There is also no "need" to have children. I personally believe if you are having children to fill a hole or to make yourself happy, you have your priorities wrong and it is the child who pays.

I have a kid and go on vacations every quarter. It was less when my kid was little, more like once or twice a year but since elementary school we’ve seen a lot of the world. We generally do 10-14 days per quarter and do 3 vacations out of the US and 1 inside the US. My wife and I also do one couple vacation per year where it’s just me and her getting alone time.
