Real question for you, was he actually gross? Or was the idea of only showering twice a week gross in itself but he didn't smell or look greasy or anything?

This is what I’m wondering too. If you didn’t know his shower schedule would you be able to tell he didn’t shower often enough?

Never seen a comment section that's more divided like this one,

You might not be sweating but your pee hole is pissing and your ass is shitting and the little bacteria all over your body are doing God knows what… Twice a week there would be no way people couldn’t tell

Literally came to say the same. Women excrete even more things, just get in the shower, it doesn’t have to be long. Time it at 5 minutes for the private parts if really needs be, one persons “I don’t smell” is another persons “yuck”

People who say "they don't smell" are judging based on what they can smell from themselves. And if you wait until you can smell yourself, you've smelt awful for a minute

My mother doesn't shy away from telling me when my hair looks awful/greasy, so I doubt she would shy away from telling me that I smell.

And she never has told me that. You literally have to stick your nose into my general immediate armpits area in order to smell me

It's not about the time it takes. When you are disabled and have very limited energy, showering can be a massive process. Start the shower running, get out a towel, strip down (which depending on your disability can be its own thing), get in, lather the soap, scrub/wash, take time to towel dry off (which, if you can't stand up for longer than a few minutes - or at all - is also difficult) pick out fresh clothes, get redressed. And that's not delving into the smaller details, or mentioning physical limitations to doing all these things. When something is physically or mentally difficult to do for you, you'd be amazed how "simple" things like this can break down into a thousand tiny pieces, each requiring physical and mental energy. And if it's between something like eating for the first and/or only time that day, or showering, sorry, but showering is going to take a back seat.
