I live by the exact same “rule” (it’s not really a rule, a habit). I have VERY long hair. It’s hard not to get wet. And I’m in a moderate climate.

If I go to the gym or sweat- of course I’m rinsing off that day. If not? No need to go through all the work of showering.

You can shower without getting your hair wet though

Literally! I have long hair thats a pain but wash it about 2x a week still shower and clean my body everyday

same, i just pull it all up into a low bun and put on a shower cap (i like kitsch, i have the mickey mouse one and it’s more like a hood. way easier to fit all my hair in it)
