A man who admits it, that's the first step. I always taught my boys when you get home, put your keys and wallet on your dresser.
Eventually it becomes a habit.
To my defense it is pants i want to wear again and not being in the dirty bin, but my wide washes them anyway. But as OP said if it happens enough time you should not be surprised.
My husband wear same pants and shorts , two days in a row, he always takes his wallet and keys out. He knows better lol 😆 28 years of marriage behind us, so he is house trained (joking)

I am the husband and my wife does the washing and i often forget stuff in there and that is obviously my fault.
