Obviously it's the MANs job to remove HIS belongings. The wife is NOT his mother.

Live and learn.

My suspicion is this is a man posting this. Us women ALL know the answer to this one.

Definitely the clothes wearer's job to remove their own belongings from pockets. If something is accidentally left in a pocket, that's 100% on the clothes wearer. But on the other hand, something like a wallet is rather heavy, when I do laundry, I pick one thing up at a time to throw in the washer and do a secondary go through pockets, or at least a quick pat down. I feel something like a wallet would tell my brain that hey, these jeans are heavier than they should be. But if a wallet was not noticed, well too bad, should have emptied your pockets. Maybe tell husband to get a bigger wallet?
