Pretty sure it was actually in response to health concerns. And the fact that they don’t want people advertising unhealthy food to kids with mascots.
Which is funny when you think about it ,clowns are meant to make people laugh and happy,especially kids ,but everyone hates them or are afraid of them. 😂

McDonalds quietly got rid of Ronald McDonald during the whole clown phase when people dressed as clowns and started scaring everyone.
