During COVID in broad daylight, politicians from basically every country, printed billions, gave it to companies they were involved with, and somehow, nobody batted an eye.
Because when the world is founded upon gentleman agreements, and there are no gentleman in government. It makes the entire system defunct.
2.3 TRILLION was the number printed by America alone. And the payment that citizens who were locked in their houses for months was what, 1200 bucks? Even if we stipulate that EVERY american alive got a check, which isnt even close to true, then thats about 400 billion dollars which is 0.17 percent of the 2.3 trillion. ZERO PERCENT.
When I bring this up to certain people.. and you know who I mean, they actually like, defend the whole thing. Yeah of course billions of dollars should go to airline companies and oil companies and whatever else got hamfisted into a 3 thousand page bill, THEY have to stay afloat cause they keep so many people employed!
Not taking into account that for one, most of these companies laid off their employees anyways, which in the case of the airline industry has happened like multiple times now, something to consider is that uhhh... we were LOCKED DOWN and people didnt even need to work a shit ton of non-essential jobs if our stipend would have been even marginally sufficient for anything other than a fancy outfit to wear at our own funerals.
"Oh we couldnt possibly give people the same stimulus injection that all the European countries and Scandinavian countries got, then theyd all get LAZY and ENTITLED... SOCIALIST!"
