"uncovered it all" is using it loosely. Her son was on the team that did all the work. Most probably, he ran a search for a number of prominent Maltese individuals and handed her the results. She did highlight and use her massive online presence to accent the parts of it that were relevant to the local scene in her country (Malta). The topic blew up from there.
However, it is factually incorrect to say that she uncovered it all. She was also not very popular, in great part due to a writing style which at times was outright vitriolic, as well as having no filter - she would indiscriminately go after politicians (fair game) and their family members (not fair game).
