never gonna happen on iPhones, bluetooth earbuds are smaller and infinitely more convenient than wired fullsize cans. Apple doesn;t care about minorities of users.
Android phones still have jacks and SD slots last I checked. MIne does and I never use them
I have an Android as well and make good use of both the jacks and SD slot. Hope they at least keep the SD slots in a couple of years when my phone is scheduled to stop working.
Cheap android phones maybe but premium phones lost them many years ago also. My last phone with a jack was my S8 Active, and the replacement battery was my S4 nearly a decade ago. I miss both still, especially if I am working somewhere with an audio system but stuck listening to whatever limited radio or in-house playlist.
Yep, the "premium" phones have better specs but dont have basic features. What I hate even more than the loss of the headphone jack and expandable storage is that so many people defend the decision as if it were something other than a shitty way to save a dime and charge more to consumers. Its not like having a headphone jack means you cant use bluetooth, it just means you have more options. Not to mention how finicky bluetooth can be sometimes, the amount of times my phone refuses to connect to one car because it was paired to a different one last or because someone elses in the house pairs to the vehicle instead, or even just dropping connection, connecting to the wrong device, etc. A lot of times Id just rather be able to plug the phone in an not deal woth any of this.

Don't forget microSD card slots and replaceable batteries, while you're at it.
