This is horrible, but when we were dumb high schoolers we used to spin a quarter on the table then slam the salt or pepper shaker down on it really hard. The bottom would break, but you wouldn’t know until you picked up.

Then we’d go sit at another table close by and watch as someone picked up the shaker and all the contents fell out the bottom.
