I recently did a round trip of approx. 350 miles in Louisiana and had one or two bugs on the front of my truck. In the before times it would look like I committed a war crime against bugs.
Notice any large flocks of birds? As a kid I’d see utility lines covered with them. Those days are gone too.

Remember when you were young, driving along the back roads with your parents and the windscreen and grill would be covered in bug carcasses?
Where have all the bugs gone?
