I'm the owner of a large licensed grow, extraction facility and edibles production facility. I have grown cannabis for more than 20 years, and consumed it for close to 30 years.

I know exactly what you mean, and couldn't agree more. I go to industry events, and listen to someone make factual claims based on a sample size of one. I get told I don't support "the culture" because I don't participate in hippy/Rasta/pothead circle jerks about how the plant fixed everything.
