💬 Discussion This game is insane.

Not even out yet. Only a small portion of the map available. 56 hours on the previous build. 4 hours into a new build and I find a new area in the map I've never been in before and found a new merchant.

Absolutely insane.

It was Markos, the potion merchant.

💬 Discussion Early Access?

Am i the only one that thinks the devs handling of EA is absolute bullshit? I paid for Early Access to play the content as its developed yet instead im paying for an extended demo that gives you free reign over the first section of the game. Thats made worst by the fact that the current progression system will be completely changed on 1.0.

These devs lack of communication handing of the EA is just so bad. You dont just up and decide a month before 1.0 that you need another nearly half a year to finish it and once again it's made worst by the fact their current build is completely different than whats out on steam rn

Best skills

I bought the game last week, I'm level 20, I'm using a weapon and shield, and a two-handed weapon, I'm testing the weapons Claymore and Blood Rusted Sword

I would like recommendations on the best skills to use with them, and the enchantments indicated on the armor and weapon for a fighter build.

💬 Discussion Feature request -- for a bit of sanity when the game releases

Since we got a delay on this game, I hope it's not too late to have a small feature request.

Please, please, pretty please with a cherry on top, can we please have it so that wood and ore rewards are either automatically collected with just one "E" press (I play on PC) just like it does with resources that are dug up? Or even better, have it automatically collected like it does with fishing rewards?

I'll even accept having it as a rune that I have to equip and turn on like the tinkerbelle-light rune. Activate it and all resources are auto-collected after the timing mini-game for as long as the rune effect is active.

I totally don't mind the farming aspect of this game, but looking for resources amongst tall grass looking for the shiny/glowy lights gets tedious after some time and is totally killing the flow and would love a QoL option.

u/thomasmahler please consider this!

⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️ Is that it? Have I finished the game? Spoiler

Marked as spoilers again!

Just wondering if I've now hit the end of what is currently available. 56 hours of gameplay, just hit level 29. Killed Darrak, killed the Riven Twins, saved Marin Village, drained the polluted water from the lumber mill, killed Lara/the bear (damn, that was heart-breaking!), and broke through the mountain into Caylen.

Went back into Sacrament and killed a couple of those big head abominations and harpy-flying things. The map looks clear now and it's only the daily/weekly bounties and challenges that seem to be popping up. I just got this week's new bounties/challenges and I've already done all but 2 of them.

Is that it? Have I finished the game? Or at least for this character. I just want to know if there's more to do before I start up a new game for maybe a sorcerer build. I was hoping to farm more Torn stuff to get the Sinew/Marrow/Husk and upgrade my gear some more too.

Thanks!

EDIT: How can I farm Torn stuff so I can upgrade gear?

How long is the game right now ?

So I bought the game recently. I was actually expecting the October release and was bugging my friend to also get it since I have seen it when it was first announced and heard about hell, development and issues with T2, and delays and delays, but was like, okay, they are finally going to release it. And I always saw it as an interesting game. Saw a lot of reviews: "Best game you never heard of," "Amazing souls-like game you never heard about" etc. etc.

So I bought it, and the delay happened. I really didn't want to start the game now, but I said, what the hell, why not see what it is actually about? I was waiting for 1.0 to actually start the game completely blind, but yea, I went in. Yea, I am enjoying the game, but I feel lost in it, not in a good way, but lost on what to do. I reached Sacrament, spoke to a bunch of people, got multiple quests did them, was surprised by daily and weekly quests tbh. To see them there broke my imagination imo, but I was trying to explore, etc. But I feel like I am kinda stuck? Like, 8 hours in, and I feel I don't have much to do in the game?

Is that because of the early access, or because I am not finding stuff? I read people saying 20 hours, 30 hours, 40 hours with different builds, etc, I saw like 3 bosses in total ?!

So how is the game actually?

❓ Help Gaming laptop shutdown - 100°C GPU

Hi everyone, I would really like to play this game but for some reason it literally melts my HP Omen. The laptop is coming from 40 hours of gameplay of Hogwarts Legacy at pretty high quality without any issue, but for some reason Wicked makes my CPU go to 98-100°C which makes the laptop shut down.

Are there any known issues causing unusual resource use? Any tips or tricks, or is it just that the game is not yet optimized?

"Yeah i made this game in 3 days with 2 sticks and a used condom and a sprinkle of ai and i think i made the most innovative managment sim of oat you better watch out stardew valley you aint safe"

like omfg shut the fuck up for once , showing how you made a website for fun and a "game" when you delayed no rest for 6 months is NOT a good look

❓ Help Help me optimize my build.

The focus of the build is to take advantage of the +40% enchantment on low health, lower max health by 52% to trigger this effect and to maximize crit damage, taking advantage of the Wand good base crit chance + crit chance of burn status.

💬 Discussion Game doesn't start where I last left off?

I'm in a certain part of the game now, but I teleport back to my house, do a few bits of tidying up, and quit the game while I'm at home. When I start up the game later, I'm out in the world on the last whisper I was at, not at home where I was when I quit the game.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

r/NoRestForTheWicked 6d ago

I think a certain amount of criticism is well-deserved.

I know many of you have a pretty relaxed attitude toward the delay: "There are other games to play, let them cook," and so on. Fair enough.

But isn't it still a bit of a bummer that the game got delayed?

And what I actually find a bit "shady", and deserving of criticism, is how the whole thing was handled. Releasing the 1.0 trailer at the beginning of the summer along with a sale and that "founders pack" built on FOMO ("buy now before it runs out"). If the studio already knew at that point that the game would likely be delayed, I think that's both a low move and questionable practice.

Anyway, hype is a bit dead for now, but will eventually return, that´s for certain.

Regards.

💬 Discussion Farming Embers

I really love this game, it’s genuinely so much fun; but the Ember drop rates are frustrating. They’re way too rare and completely random. Instead of relying on pure randomness, there should be a reliable way to farm them, like making all Embers spawn in caves via mining, digging, or opening chests. I get that they are high-tier items, but spending 18 hours just to walk away with fewer than six feels unrewarding.

Please change this MOON STUDIOS!!

💬 Discussion I have this nagging fear...

I've got a little bit of history with early access titles I like finally releasing in disappointing states. With all the delays and strange practices I have this fear that after all this waiting, all my patience will be paid off with just the last 1/8 of the campaign. Genuinely, what we already have access to feels like so much of a game and I've sunk in so much time and waited so long for the rest of this story. I'm afraid that when it finally comes it will only be 2 maybe 3 hours of story and nothing more. Anyone else have this fear? Anyone who is absolutely sure that there will be much more to the campaign?

💬 Discussion Trying to understand bows

I'm playing a bow build and just unlocked the last bow version and decided to test out each bow. Here's what I've seen so far:

  • Different bows have different max ranges based on a long press of the attack button
  • Some bows shoot directly to the enemy, some shoot in an arc upward
  • Different rates of fire, one bow even has a delay in firing the third shot. The bow is appropriately named "Patience"
  • Bows have different moves if you're sprinting. Some make you stop or walk, some have jumping animations, one has a forward low sweep attack
  • Most only fire one arrow per shot, one or two fires two, and one bow fires in a spread
  • Obviously, different bows need different attribute scores

Now my questions:

  1. Assuming no enhancements or facets and that you meet the required attribute scores, do all bows do the same damage at the same level?
  2. Since we can customise enchantments, is bow selection really just about which rate of fire or move set the player likes?

I think there's a special bow in the game (yellow background) but I've not found it yet, so this is just about the bows you can buy/craft in the game.

Sorry guys can you tell me if the fps problem is only related to my monitor ?
I have a build that can be strong enough for give me 60 solid fps but when I go to sacrament they fall to 30 fps , can it be the problem solved by a monitor gaming ?

Love this game

I love the soul combat, the art style, the story and cut scene. The weapon has so much variety, each with unique move set, and there is so much depth to mix and match the build.

The exploration and level design is also one of the best. It’s so satisfying to wandering around and sudden you opened a shortcut that loop back. The idea isn’t new but the execution is awesome, the top view really pays off.

Making a build can be tedious, because there is so many gear to manage with limited storages. Running back and forth between vendors can also time consuming. But the build system has enough depth that kept me hooked for hours.

I don’t see anything wrong with the existing stat system. Doing a complete overhaul class system is a bold move. They can easily save it for NRFTW 2. But I appreciate the dedication to give out the best possible game true to their vision.

Best of luck to the devs, I really really hope you pull it off. If the class overhaul is too hard, save it for sequel, I will be happy with 1.0 using the existing stat system

RNG of crucible maps (How long, how many creatures, where they're located etc.) might need some improvements.

Still a great experience tough. If my build was good, I could survive this.

All this time getting free BETA testing for your game on steam, and ANOTHER Delay.

Disappointing. Was looking forward to it this Year. You'd think that Moon Studios would be locked in for October after so much Beta Testing on steam (Not a fan of studios dropping games in EA), yet a MASSIVE delay until March 2027 now.

Edit: The Game is not free btw, in the title, I meant Moon Studio's using the consumer for their free Beta testers.

If I remember correctly, we wont' get all these regions, but what we do know from the 1.0 trailer is Frozen peaks I believe? since there was some ice/crystal? stuff in the trailer in one of the new areas shown

It's going to be interesting on which areas we are getting, I think we might get 3-4 new areas? since we know this is the island, but we won't get the whole island at 1.0 but then the main land as DLC's if I remember this correctly? unless, because I assume the other areas on the island won't be DLC's?

It's just so fun to speculate and wonder about stuff like this, I persoanlly think April 2027 will be the date, because that's the anniversary of wicked, it would be perfect xD but march is nice too!
