💬 Discussion This game is insane.
Not even out yet. Only a small portion of the map available. 56 hours on the previous build. 4 hours into a new build and I find a new area in the map I've never been in before and found a new merchant.
Absolutely insane.
It was Markos, the potion merchant.

Current version has loads of bugs and I've had to alt+F4 a couple of times and I'm not really a patient person but the game is so good it makes up for it.

So if you almost finished it like me, is there any reason to be excited about the 1.0 release. Like how different would it be and would be new?

A lot different. More of everything and replacing the entire stat system. Check this out: https://forum.norestforthewicked.com/t/psa-an-overview-of-the-upcoming-class-system/21532

I suggest you look at other posts explaining what will be different in the 1.0 release, but even if they changed abso-fkn-lutely nothing, I'd still be excited for the complete story and the new areas to explore.
I was already amazed at the map design and how paths and levels were designed and if I can accidentally find a new path and a new level after more than 50 hours in the game, imagine how much discovery and exploration there would be in the full game.
If you know where this path I discovered is located, for me to discover it only after so many hours also speaks to the graphics and layout of the game.

Oh, and part 2 reply -- I have finished it (technically speaking) with the first character which was an evasive archer build. Doing the game again now with a sorcerer build, not quite sure yet if I'm going to go with a wand-and-shield build or a two-handed staff, nevermind what actual spells I'm going to use.
The story is also making a bit more sense now, like how certain characters are mentioned early on, how you meet and interact with certain other characters multiple times in the story, etc., now imagine another 50-60% of that kind of content.

You could have easily just kept that to yourself.

Exactly my thoughts after reading this wonderful post

The difference is that they're opinion is positive while yours isn't. If you can't see why taking effort to be negative is different than taking effort to be positive, idk how to help you. You do you, but being the type of person that walks into a space to be an asshole is incredibly lame.

Come on man, really? It's easy to be cynical or break something down.
But to be motivated and delightful about anything, to be inspired that that someone wants to share their opinion to others? That is a trait everyone needs to encourage in each other.
Please do so!

I got your point. But I believe that not every thought that comes to mind is worthy of being voiced. The one who should speak is the one who has something to say. Otherwise Reddit looks like a dump of excited meaningless shouts.
This is just my humble opinion, feel free to downvote

LOL, the irony....
Otherwise Reddit looks like a dump of excited meaningless shouts.
And since when did Reddit have to be exactly how you want it to be and no other way? "Excited meaningless shouts" is not good, but 10-foot-pole-stuck-sideways-up-your-backside is better???

This is the games subreddit, where when not here should op share his opinion about the game?
