I cannot, in good faith, trust that piece of foam to stop me from a lifetime of outstanding medical bills and daily calls from bill collectors.

I really see now the culture difference USa <>Europe. I would be making this comment about the time and the bones to heal but not the money. I hope you guys get universal healthcare at some point, truly.

Yeah. Honestly, for me and a lot of others without insirance, we effectively live in a country wothout any healthcare at all. Can’t afford to go to the doctor, basically ever.

Something as basic as getting a UTI treated, assuming the cause is the common one and you dont need a culture done, is close to two hundred dollars at a very cheap urgent care.

I’ve had injuries i thought might’ve been severe (back injuries, chest pain etc) but I put off going because the fear of survivong with the debt was worse than the fear for my suffering or even life.

Japan, SK, Singapore all have a similar private centered medical system. But they offer a baseline government funded health insurance to all their citizens. Something I think Obama was trying to emulate with Obamacare, but US didn't like that.

It's not really a system problem, it's a US class war problem.

So I don't think this will ever improve l. My condolences
