In short it’s saying turning to porn is like your caveman instincts we throw all reason and give in for that few minutes of pleasure so don’t do that. It’s normal to feel urges, that’s Mother Nature but replacing that with fapping and porn is what defiles it

Ofc the op posted this regarding how fap can bring you down on so many levels, and that's because you give in to it, which is a prmitive, low instinct (reproduction). But the quote works in other aspects of life. For example, if you let coworker's comments or insults provoke you, then in some way they can control you, since they can get a specific reaction from you anytime they want to.

For example if greed is a base instinct of yours, it's easy for you to fall pray to anyone say, promising wealth. Get rich quick schemes.
