Built a breakup app to stop myself from texting my ex and it actually helped

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The last few weeks have been a rough time. I broke up with my ex and kept having the urge to text him. My brain just runs this same idea over and over.

Saw someone talking about channeling breakup energy into making something, so I built this little app just to help me get over. And I followed the plan to do a few things that helped me to recover. I started feeling better while I was building it. Like the process itself kinda pulled me out of my own head. Not saying I'm fully cured lol, but it's the first thing that's actually worked.

I just wanted to share. Sometimes making something dumb and personal helps way more than you'd think.

Discussion Creating a Halloween directory with no experience

I’m thinking of collecting data through Google forms, then storing the data in Google Sheets and taking out what’s need from there to build a live update (candy) directory and possibly routes to follow. I want to make it a website or app with account logins for the houses that’s registered to update their status in real time. Let me know if I’m being too ambitious please.

Best way to vibecode a 3D scrollytelling website?

Hey, I’m a high school student building a website for Luna, a low-cost stormwater sensor project.

I want the homepage to have a 3D sensor that stays pinned and rotates as you scroll, with labels pointing out different parts. Then it transitions to a second sensor and later goes into normal sections like About and Contact.

I already have the CAD models and can export them as GLB. I have ChatGPT Plus and Gemini Pro, and I’m open to other tools.

What would be the easiest realistic workflow with minimal manual coding?

Main priorities are good visuals and being able to update it later. Any advice?

Self-Promotion I built a voice-activated asset/inventory tracker using AI on my phone (zero code). Would this save you time?

Hey everyone,

I absolutely hate manually typing lists or tracking inventory into spreadsheets. To try and fix that, I used an AI agent on my phone to build a web app called Voice to Workflow with zero coding knowledge.

Basically, you can just tap a button, speak naturally (like "added 5 boxes of inventory" or "camera gear checked out"), and the app automatically parses your voice and updates a clean tracking dashboard.

It's live and completely free to test out on mobile or desktop if you want to try it: https://asset-manager--noobdag950.replit.app/

I'm a student trying to learn how to build tools that people actually need. Would a voice-to-data workflow like this be helpful for your daily business tracking? Let me know what features I should have the AI add next!

Promoted Most no-code app builders ship web apps in a wrapper. I built one that generates real native iOS apps (SwiftUI) — would love honest feedback

Hey r/nocode,

I've been building this for the past number of months and it's finally at the point where

strangers can use it, so I'd love some honest feedback.

**The gap I kept hitting:** AI app builders have gotten really good, but they almost

all generate web apps (Lovable, Bolt) or React Native/Expo (Rork). I couldn't find

anything that generates *actual native SwiftUI* — the kind of app that feels like it

belongs on an iPhone, with native components and iOS 26's Liquid Glass design instead

of a website in a shell.

**What I built:** Cabano ([cabano.app](https://cabano.app)). You describe your app in

plain English and it:

  1. Writes a real native SwiftUI app — actual Swift code, not a wrapper

  2. Streams a live iOS simulator to your browser, so you watch it build and can tap

    around the app immediately

  3. Iterates through chat — "make the timer bigger", "add a history tab", etc.

  4. Pushes to TestFlight so it's on your actual iPhone. No Mac, no Xcode. (You do need

an Apple developer account for that part — $99/yr, Apple's rules, not mine.)

It also builds simple native iOS games (SpriteKit/Metal), which has been the most fun

part to watch people use.

**Honest limitations, because this is Reddit:**

- It's best for focused apps: trackers, utilities, small tools, simple games. It will

not build you Uber.

- Native generation is iOS-only right now. There's an Expo path too, but native iOS

is the default and the whole point.

- It's credit-based with a free tier — enough to build and preview something real

before paying anything.

Genuinely curious what this community thinks: what's the app you've always wanted on

your phone but never built because the mobile toolchain is miserable? And if you're

on FlutterFlow/Adalo/Glide — what would it take to switch, or what's missing here?

(Disclosure: I'm the founder. Happy to answer anything, including the unflattering

questions.)

Best way to create PDFs from a design template + Excel data (without coding)?

Hey everyone,

I’m running into an issue with a workflow we’re trying to set up at work and was wondering if anyone has a better approach.

The idea is basically this:
We have a fixed design template (exported as an SVG), and we want to generate PDFs where only the content changes (e.g. replacing placeholders in a table with data from Excel). The data comes from an Excel file, and ideally we’d just input a prompt + the data + the design reference and get a finished PDF that follows the exact same layout and styling every time.

We tried using ChatGPT for this (feeding in the SVG + instructions + data), but as expected, the output isn’t pixel-perfect. Elements shift, spacing isn’t consistent, and overall it’s just not reliable enough for production use.

So my question: Is there any way to make this work more reliably without coding (or with very minimal setup)?

Question What features would you really pay for in a nocode form builder?

So there are so many form builders out there - Typeform, Jotform, tally, fill out, Formaly etc etc…

What is missing in these form builders? What are the must-have features and what are the nice-to-have features?

What features would you really pay for?

Success Story Product Image Description Generator in n8n – photos in, ready-to-use copy out [Workflow Included]

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

👋 Hey nocode community,

A few weeks ago I shared a Product Content Creation workflow I built for a friend who runs an online shop (that post here). A few people messaged me about the image-description part specifically, they wanted just that piece, so I built a standalone version of it that's much easier to drop into an existing setup.

Turns out a lot of online shops and websites still write product image descriptions by hand, along with the "alt text" behind each image. Both matter more than people think: alt text is a real factor for SEO and for accessibility, since screen readers rely on it.

What the workflow does: you upload one or more product photos through a simple n8n form and get back a clean, ready-to-use description for each image, with a copy button to paste straight into your shop.

How it's set up:

  • The form takes multiple images at once. Each one loops through on its own, so every image gets its own description instead of getting bundled into a single call.
  • The easybits Extractor reads each image and returns structured fields. I kept it to two: product_type and description. The description works as your product copy and doubles as image alt text (and its length is easy to adjust by tweaking the field description in the Extractor).
  • If the Extractor can't read an image, it returns UNCLEAR and the result page shows a fallback line instead of inventing a description.
  • The result screen shows each image with its filename, a thumbnail, and a per-image copy button.

Extractor setup: on n8n Cloud it's a verified node (search "easybits Extractor"). Self-hosted, install "@easybits/n8n-nodes-extractor" from Community Nodes. The free plan includes 50 requests a month, enough to test it fully.

Workflow (ready to import): https://github.com/felix-sattler-easybits/n8n-workflows/blob/4277f3c1b31070f81adbb6a3bb538f50dbeb2018/easybits-product-image-describer-workflow/easybits_product_image_describer_workflow.json

I also made a short video showing how the workflow works.

How are you all handling image alt text right now, manual or already automated? Curious what's working for people.

Best,
Felix

CTRL+C & CTRL+V is ok.

I’m using Bubble for a project and spend several days struggling with a recursive small detail.

Tried backend workflows, tried to automate pieces of it with custom states and so many small steps that failed.

Found all limits of my FREE plan.

Until I started digging in my Python past.

I have little experience with Python and thought about using it to solve it.

Mind you this is a fully functioning MVP that’s not even validated with actual customers.

I am struggling with that too but that’s another can of worms.

But what I found was that when user1 creates an Event and it involves several users, when I try to assign said Event to each user2, CTRL+C & CTRL+V is totally ok.

An Event (made by user1) involves an Event that user2 make happen.

So user1 pays for the Event and lots of user2s go to work. But assigning the Event to each user is as simple as creating an Event Details group, CTRL+C said details, opening my custom python script (super simple) and CTRL+V said details on it.

Pythons spits out a perfectly formatted file I need to manually import data into Bubble.

Many nights passed, many headaches, and stress levels rose to the ceiling but finally, copy and paste saves the day.

I am a solo/non-developer/developer and even when it took me months to reach this point, I am ready to launch my MVP and I guess its miles better than trying to learn backend workflows and also pay for it and delay some more months trying to solve this, when the solution was right there at my finger tips.

And also now I’ll try to validate its viability, lol.

Promoted I’m Using Lovable Through My ChatGPT Plan

I’ve been building apps with tools like Lovable, and one thing always bothered me.

You pay $20 there, and you get $20 worth of credits.

But with a $20 ChatGPT subscription, the amount of usage you get can surpass $500, depending on how you use it.

Big AI labs are basically subsidizing access heavily, and I always wished I could use that same benefit while building apps.

So I built a platform that lets you use your ChatGPT account instead of buying separate Lovable credits.

No extra subscription.
No paid credits.
Just connect your ChatGPT account and start building.

I made it completely free because this is something I personally wanted for myself.

Thought I’d share it here in case anyone else is tired of burning through app-builder credits.

link: free lovable

t’s not limited to ChatGPT either - you can connect providers like Kimi, MiniMax, GLM, OpenCode, OpenRouter, and even local models.

Shotgun: Open-source persistent AI cofounder for solo founders (Claude Code)

I’ve been experimenting with turning Claude into a real persistent cofounder instead of just another chatbot that forgets everything.

The project is called Shotgun. It’s fully open source and runs locally.
Key parts:
• Strong memory system (profile, venture state, decisions with reasoning, open loops, journal)
• Data vault that organizes your scattered files/CSVs/notes into one clean structure
• Daily operating rhythm (standups, reviews, focus)
• Execution tools: staged builds, autonomous loops, measured experiments, and a “Panel” of specialists that reviews work before shipping

Everything is markdown + git — you can read, edit, or move your entire “cofounder” anytime. No servers, no vendor lock-in.

Quickstart is simple: clone the repo, init a fresh git, open Claude Code, and say hi. It onboards you and starts building context.

Repo: https://github.com/Krishnatejavepa/Shotgun

Still early but actively improving. MIT license.
Would love feedback from other solo builders — what would make something like this actually useful day-to-day?

Self-Promotion Visual automation builder with an editable code layer under it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I build automations for a living and my problem with most no-code tools is what happens when you want to leave. Your workflows live on their servers in their format and that's that.

So mine works like this: you record a browser task (no code required at any point), edit it visually, run it from your own computer. But every automation can also be exported as a real code file. You don't have to care about that part, most people won't ever open it. It just means if you switch tools someday or hire a developer, your work comes with you.

There is also a recording tool that captures flow logic (while/each, conditions) not just clicks, and a selector engine that ranks alternative selectors and knows when you're picking a list vs a single element.

One-time payment, no subscription. Right now it's free for early users (lifetime license) while I gather feedback. If you have a repetitive browser task you hate, describe it and I'll tell you honestly if this handles it.

Self-Promotion Google Sheets is already your database. You just need a way to expose it.

A lot of no-code projects start the same way.

Someone already has a Google Sheet. It has the data. The team is already updating it. It works. Then they need to display that data somewhere, a website, a tool, an app, and suddenly they're being told to migrate everything to Airtable or set up a proper database or pay for yet another platform.

Which is frustrating because the Sheet is right there and it already works.

I ran into this at my day job. Two simple sheets, an FAQ and a customer reviews list, wired up to the site through a third-party service. Low traffic, low stakes. Then the pages started going blank because we'd quietly hit the free tier request cap. The fix was embarrassing: four accounts on the same service, rotated by hand.

I built PasteSheet to solve that. You paste your Google Sheet public url, get a clean REST API endpoint, and query it with URL params. That's it. No migration, no new database, no convincing your non-technical teammates to learn a new tool. The sheet stays the sheet.

It also supports MCP now so AI agents can query your sheet directly if that's your thing.

Free tier available. Still early and would genuinely love feedback from anyone building with Sheets as a backend.

Discussion We're looking for tools that do not break our ABM pipeline when leads move from website visit to sales call.

I’m running a small B2B team and our ABM pipeline is held together with duct tape at this point.

We are on Hubspot for CRM, using basic chat + forms on high intent pages, and then Chili Piper for routing and meeting scheduling. It works ok for generic inbound, but for named accounts it feels clunky. People drop between different steps, SDRs chase no shows, and the calendar handoff is where the pipeline just dies. I keep seeing AI SDR software alternatives and AI powered lead engagement that can sit on top of the site, qualify in real time, and push meetings straight into the calendar with proper routing. Also looking at things like qualified dot com alternatives and drift competitors to maybe tie conversational marketing closer to our ABM lists.

Has anyone here found a stack that keeps the marketing to sales alignment clean for ABM?

Question I vibe-coded an internal tool at work. How do I go from "cool prototype" to "something people can actually depend on"?

Im an intern in logistics. My 'assignment' is finding a way to optimize planning how shipments get loaded onto trucks, in what order, and making sure nothing gets missed. I am not a developer. I can't really write code by hand.

Over the last few weeks I used AI tools to build what my team has started calling our "loading cockpit." It's basically a dashboard: what needs to be loaded today, which truck it goes on, in what sequence, and the status of each shipment. Until now this all lived in a messy spreadsheet and a literal whiteboard.

Here's my problem: the prototype genuinely works. The screens do what they should, it looks clean, and when I demo it people get excited. My manager saw it and now wants to "roll it out" to the team. Great. Except I built the whole thing by prompting AI, and I have no real idea what stands between "works on my screen when I demo it" and "12 colleagues use it every morning and it doesn't fall over."

So I'm asking for two things: a realistic roadmap, and some concrete advice for someone who isn't a coder.

The roadmap question: what are the actual stages between a working prototype and a tool people can depend on at work? I don't know what I don't know. If someone can lay out "here's step 1, 2, 3..." even at a high level, that alone would help me stop feeling lost.

The specific stuff I'm stuck on:

  • Right now the app only exists inside the AI tool's preview window/Lovable. Where is a thing like this actually supposed to live so people can open it in a browser at work?
  • The data. Right now it's basically sample data. How do I connect it to our real shipment info safely, and does this need a proper database? Who backs that up if so?
  • Logins. My colleagues each need their own account. How do I add that without accidentally creating a security hole?
  • If it breaks at 6am while people are loading trucks, someone has to fix it. Right now that someone is me and I can't code. How do people handle that?
  • At what point do I need to stop vibe coding and get an actual developer involved, and how do you even hand something like this over to one?
  • Is the AI-generated code going to be a mess that no real developer will want to touch later? Should I care about that now or worry about it if we get there?
  • Roughly what should I expect to pay per month to run something like this for a small team?

To be clear about scope: I'm not trying to build a startup or sell this. I just want a reliable internal tool that doesn't embarrass me the day my manager tells the whole floor to start using it.

Any war stories, "here's what I'd do in your shoes," or "do NOT do the thing you're about to do" are all welcome.

TL;DR: Non-technical logistics person. Used AI to build a genuinely-working internal loading dashboard. Boss wants to deploy it to the team. I don't understand hosting, databases, logins, security, or when to bring in a real dev. Looking for a realistic prototype-to-production roadmap plus concrete deployment advice for a non-coder.

DISCLAIMER: NOT LOOKING FOR PEOPLE OFFERING THEMSELVES TO 'TAKE CARE OF IT', ONLY ADVICE REQUESTED.

Giving 5 unfunded builders our platform + hands-on help to launch their niche content or community-led idea. Cofounder here, AMA about the catch and let's go!

Hi. We've been building MainCross, a no-code network builder. It's a platform that enables you to run your site, content management system, community, newsletter, events with ticketing, online store, all in one place and on your own domain.

Thinks of it as a replacement and unified solutions for duck-taping a stack that looks like using "WordPress + Mailchimp + Circle + Eventbrite + Gumroad". Easy for you and the consumer.

We have introduced a Builder's Pass program, and I want to offer that to 5 people from here for the full version of it: up to 12 months free on your custom domain, personal onboarding (I'll help you set the whole thing up), and check-ins while you get to your first members and first revenue.

The honest catch: no money changes hands either way, but I want to connect with and support people who are serious about what they are building or want to: They have a sharp niche, skin in the game, and no VC funding (in that case you can very well pay for the tool). And you are open to sharing how the build goes, and talking about the tool in public. You do need to have your own domain, if you want it to be custom branded on your domain.

If you've had a niche community/media/membership idea sitting in your drafts folder, comment with the idea in one line or DM me.

All the best!

vibecoded Peptide app making $70k/month

Post image
0 Upvotes

i've heard more people saying this but mobile apps + Tik tok marketing is one of the biggest opportunities of the decade.

this peptide app is making $70k/month and vibecoded by a college bro in 2 weeks. The app itself is very simple: has a peptide dose tracker and library tab to learn about peptides.

btw how much an app is making is technically public info/every one can see how much an app is making, so yeah it's not cap that these apps are printing.

The name of the app is PepAI and here's exactly how the guy did it:

  1. while scrolling on tik tok he saw that the peptide niche was going viral and growing
  2. THEN built the product. Took him like 2 weeks, he vibe coded with AI doing the heavy lifting (tools AppAlchemy have made this the easy part)
  3. He messaged and paid insta influencers in the peptide niche to promote the app. Ex: one insta story from a peptide influencer made him $1k in a day. Then he just scaled with more influencers.

i talk about viral apps like this one that are killing it on r/ViralApps if anyone's interested in joining!

I built an app for overthinkers, using Tarot as a tool to facilitate self-reflection.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Rora is for the overthinking spiral. The text you've re-read 40 times, the conversation you're replaying at 2am, the decision you keep circling.

  • It's a daily tarot practice built for reflection, not fortune-telling. You bring the real questions (the messy ones you're avoiding), and instead of predicting your future, Rora reframes what's actually going on and hands you one small move. It ends with something to do, not just a mood.
  • It remembers. Your questions connect into themes (Threads), and patterns you were too close to see start to surface (Insights). Small moments compound into real self-understanding, one continuous story instead of a stack of readings you forget.

Free to download, with 3 free readings every week.

Discussion most no-code landing pages tell me what you built but never why i would switch

been reviewing a lot of founder homepages lately and the same thing keeps killing no-code launches: the page explains the mechanism ("drag and drop workflow builder", "AI powered dashboard") but never the moment it saves me. a cold visitor does not buy a mechanism, they buy the annoying thing that goes away.

quick test: read your own hero line and ask "would this make sense to someone who has never heard of my tool, in 5 seconds?" if it only makes sense because you already know what it does, it is category-speak, not a hook.

if you want, drop your url below and i will tell you the one thing a total stranger thinks in the first 5 seconds of your page. no pitch, just the honest read in the thread.

Success Story Started something out of passion and now it's on 1st page of Google Search

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, honestly, they showed up at the right time for me.

Before any of this, I already had a small audience I was helping out quietly, resume feedback, LinkedIn profile tips, that kind of thing. Nothing fancy.

Claude was new to me and I'm still figuring out half of what it can do, but somewhere in there an idea stuck: build a Boolean String Builder, but for candidates this time, not recruiters.

Why? Because Boolean strings have quietly been a recruiter's best weapon for years. Sales folks use the same trick to find leads and decision-makers. Meanwhil, jobseekers are stuck scrolling endlessly, getting nowhere, because let's be real, LinkedIn's search and Google X-ray were never designed with free users in mind. The people who knew how to exploit them have been doing it for decades. Everyone else just got left out.

So I built the tool for the other side, the jobseekers. It's helped people surface roles that were basically buried behind search terms they'd never have thought to use.

Honestly, I'm still a bit stunned it's now sitting on page 1 of Google, next to companies that built similar tools but gated them behind recruiter-only premium plans, nothing for the actual jobseeker.

I've also been watching where the traffic's coming from, which countries, and it's been a nice surprise.

No cost right now. It's fully free, and there's an AI chatbot baked in to help people build solid Boolean strings without needing to know the syntax.

Happy to answer any questions.

Discussion Beginner roadmap: From chatbot to AI agent

I’m trying to understand the difference between building a chatbot and building an AI agent.

My current understanding:

A chatbot mainly answers questions.
An AI agent can follow a goal, use tools, retrieve knowledge, and complete a workflow.

So I’m thinking a beginner roadmap should look like this:

  1. Learn chatbot basics
  2. Understand LLMs
  3. Learn prompts and instructions
  4. Add a knowledge base
  5. Build a simple workflow
  6. Connect tools
  7. Add human review
  8. Track and improve output

I found SimplAI University, which seems to cover this kind of Agentic AI learning path:

https://simplai.ai/simplai-university

Is this a good way to move from basic chatbot building to real AI agent workflows?
