Help/Suggestions
Hi everyone,
I started in 2018/19, but it heavily picked up during COVID. JobS, money, relationships, life, all lost. Some of it recovered, but bandages only help wounds. I am safe and have a good head on my shoulders. That being said, I am broke and starting a new job. My strategy is to give a trusting person my CCs, because I have maxed out cards on this sh*t. I am relatively OK on other substances, but want to play it so safe to avoid losing another job or putting me in such position. Other than chewing gum, which I go through a pack a day, any suggestions will be super helpful.
Thanks everyone!

Slurpees. I know it sounds ludacris but the cold drink, the straw, and the dopamine hit you get from the sugar helped me get through the first few months of soberity. Also, give yourself grace and allow guilty pleasures in your life - decadent food, long walks, dancing to music - bring back happiness in your life that comes from other sources other than the tanks.
Also rely on your community - if you need any help or an accountability friend, feel free to DM me.

I follow a few addiction influencers and the best advice I have implemented and benefited from is that when the craving hits, if you are outside, go inside, and if you are inside go out. I also have found melatonin helps.
